The Tuckerton Seaport is a very nice place to visit. If not for the kids, you will appreciate it more then the kids. They have many educational things to learn about and many things for the kids to experience. It takes you back a bit in time to the way things were in the area. The Staff is very nice and helpful. The Tuckerton Seaport reminds me of the many roadside attractions you went and visited as a kid on a drive with your Parents. Step through the doors of the Seaport and be brought back to when you were a kid and enjoy all that they have to see. Very nice day trip.

Once again it was off season and the Museum was not crowded, the drawback is that it was not fully staffed and not every building was manned but most were open. There are good depictions of the ecology of the area and the "working" seaport is well thought out and interesting. This is a great spot to take children, there are many things that are just plain fun as well as being educational. When you go be sure to see the Jacques Cousteau exhibit in the visitors building, it is excellent.

Came here with a group of 12 people ranging from Kindergarteners to Senior Citizen. We all enjoyed something. The kids really liked learning about the horseshoe crabs and terrapin turtles in the main building. I loved the lighthouse and sitting on the boardwalk looking at the boats and houses. Walking around and looking at all the exhibits took a few hours so we ate lunch at Scojos which was connected, and got ice cream at the Stewart's next door. It was a beautiful day so we lucked out.

Tuckerton Seaport is very homey and having suffered damage from Hurricane Sandy it is still in the process of rebuilding. It was pleasant way to spend a Sunday.

We live very close to the Seaport. The exhibits in the main house are sometimes fascinating, the poster-size photos making the past come alive. You can go up to the top of the lighthouse (it's not a real one, but a replica) and look out over the bay and town. They have been doing construction on the local roads in front of the Seaport -- it seems like years -- so it's a pain to have to get around in season. But go anyway. My favorite parts tell the story of land that disappeared in a huge storm. Once you go through the exhibits, check out the gift shop. There are also a number of other buildings at the seaport, like the Hunting Shanty and a restaurant (Scojo's). Often during the summer, they have festivals there -- they are always crowded and fun!
