“Guy Fietti would LOVE Gino's place”

We go here very often. It is a small, simple, old fashioned Italian restaurant with some of the best Italian food you will ever have. Not fancy or fussy - Gino makes killer soups and all other dishes. The staff is attentive and friendly, and many are family. Some of the best sauce (we call it gravy here in the area) you will ever have. Solid, conistent, great food and really nice people. BYOB.

“Just like mom's - homemade taste & appeal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Mamma Rosa's is another hidden gem located in Hamilton. We found it by accident, and we are absolutely hooked! In New Jersey, there are a lot of Italian restaurants to choose from, and from the very first meal, we knew we found the very best in Mercer County!

The signature lasagna dish literally rivals my grandmother's recipe! It comes in a large piece made with cheese & meat layers. Fresh herbs make all the difference, and their sauce is very good. We've gone back and tried their baked ziti, tortellini with meat filling, rigatoni with vodka sauce, meatball sub, chicken cutlet sandwich, pizza, eggplant parmesan, etc. We have been thoroughly satisfied with each and every meal. Unlike other locations nearby (which use pre made/frozen meatballs), you can tell Mamma Rosa's are made fresh with herbs and seasoning.

WIth their entrees, you can get a soup or salad. I'd absolutely recommend their soups - they are out of this world! Each time we order, they offer different selections (egg drop spinach, cream of mushroom, seafood bisque, cream of potato w/ bacon & horseradish, pasta fagiole, etc). We have not been disappointed once. They also provide bread with each meal, and even the bread is fantastic!

I can't say enough about Mamma Rosa's - we're now regulars, and we try to get something new each time we go. They offer outdoor seating and are very involved with local events, such as the St Gregory's fair & Italian festival. Look for them and you'll be impressed too!
