Stayed for 3 nights and It was the worst 3 nights I have ever spent in a hotel. Carpet badly stained, sink was clogged but was fixed when I went to the front desk. Toilet seat broken, the mattress gave me a backache and the noise from the traffic was not pleasant. Outside there were cigarette butts all over the ground and the refrigerator made such a racket we unplugged it. The only positive aspect of the whole stay was the staff was nice. But I would of loved a quiet room with a comfortable bed instead.

Room Tip: If you must stay here get a room far from the road.

stayed in May 2012 for a week. First got there and everything smelled nice and fresh. Couldnt wait to get into our room. Opened the door and sort of disappointed.
1. Hairs left on bathroom sink
2. under beds were filthy- the vac cant fit under it. Popcorn.. food... napkins..
3. Not sure if our room was even vacuumed..
Though it seemed housekeeping was cleaning the whole day. maybe just an oversight?

3. Side door did not work- had to walk around.

However, the pool was nice. The food was good. It was quiet. Birds chirping every morning. Room had a patio and slider. Heavy curtains to keep sun out. Really good location. Good parking. Room safes.

Planning to stay again because of the competitive low price provided by hojos. Plus it wasn't terribly bad..

Room Tip: You want a room with a courtyard view... its away from the street and peaceful.

Stayed their in late june. Great location. Near highway and center of Toms River. Staff was pleasent and helpful. Room smelled like smoke and where dated. Place seemed dirty.

Mediocre but clean room with mediocre furnishings. Sink in room and in bathroom was odd to say the least. Free breakfast was heavy on carbs but very light on protein. Don't expect any hot food or even yogurt. Overall, I'd probably stay again if the price was right, but I wouldn't pay more than $70.
