Excellent Well Managed B&B

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jul 28, 2019via mobile
We spent two nights in the care of Innkeeper Vicki in this spectacular old home and we could not have felt more pampered and or more comfortable. Breakfasts were very good and the scones and pan chocolat are to die for. We were very comfortable in the Genevieve suite.

Vicki was an excellent inn keeper and the location was very close to restaurants and the beach. When I'm back this is where I'll stay. Comfortable room and breakfast was awesome. Definitely coming back?

We had a wonderful time! Highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Vicki the Inn Keeper does everything to make your stay an excellent one. Easy warm atmosphere, great breakfasts, very comfortable and clean. Can't say enough good things about it. It is so great to stay at a Bed and Breakfast, they have so many extras, like beach chairs, hot cocoa and cookies at night! Great experience!

My son took me to this establishment for an early birthday celebration on July 19, 2019 for a Victorian Tea lunch. It was indeed a very nice afternoon.
It was a 5 course lunch and everything we had was delicious.
It started with a watermelon salad, followed by chicken rice soup, blueberry scones,
4 types of finger sandwiches, and about 5 different kinds of mini desserts. The waitress was very nice and pleasant and she had all the answers to my questions regarding the large selection of teas. After lunch I was also able to join the table of 6 ladies next to us for a guided tour of the rooms upstairs at this bed and breakfast. This place was very nicely decorated and it has lots of Toms River history. I would like to say that this is well worth the time and money for a special occasion or just for something different to do. The price I believe is $37.00 per person and that includes the gratuity. The people here are very friendly and they go out of their way and bend over backwards to make your visit special. They also offer a nice little room where you can buy tea, tea pots, and pretty fancy tea cups, etc. for yourself or to give as a gift. You can also purchase scones, and samples of clouted cream, and lemon curd to accompany your treats to take home. Oh, and they also offer a nice assortment of ladies hats to wear while you are having your lunch. It was great to hear all the giggles coming from the ladies as they tried on their hats. I highly recommend a visit to this Victorian Tea Room.

My son had an ACT exam to take at Toms River HS. Since we live 120milea away we decided to stay the night before. The best part of the stay was definitely Vicki, the inn keeper. She makes you completely welcome arriving at the B&B. We stayed in the smallest room with a double bed. She immediately suggested to use a rollout bed for my son.
Too bad we didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities offered due to late arrival for one night. I will definitely want to stay there.
If I have to be nit pick I can suggest better shower head and vanity mirror position in the bathroom. Really hard to find to pick on. So clean and fresh smell all around there.

Bonnie,

I will take care of the mirror this week. I know it is too high for us little people. The shower head, I will test this weekend too and will see if I can get a wider one installed.

It was so nice to meet you and your son.

Enjoy the balance of your summer.

Thank you for your kind words.
