A wonderful stay ! Nearly perfect!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jun 20, 2019
This elegant Victorian is loving furnished with period antiques adding to the overall welcoming feeling. We stayed in the Queen Victoria room, which was very comfortable with a king sized bed. The en suite bathroom has a nice shower (with plenty of hot water.). The breakfasts were delicious and included fresh, in house made scones, fresh brewed coffee and tea, yougurt, eggs, etc...just about anything you could desire. After a day out, there was always wine and other fresh cookies or pastries upon your return. But perhaps the best part was Vickie, the manager. Her warmth and hospitality made you feel like your were honored guests and well appreciated.

Thank you so much for your kind words! You have been on my mind. I did get the chargers you showed me for each room and I had the bottoms of all the doors improved with the door sweeper we spoke of. I am still working on a few of the other improvements you told me during your visit, but the yard and the house is coming along wonderfully.

You and your husband were so lovely and I hope we meet again soon.

Your Friend,

Vicki Weiss

We were impressed with the elegant house, charming furnishing, delicious breakfast and the genuine hospitality of our host Vicki. She went above and beyond in offering timely communications, providing local knowledge and restaurant recommendations and describing the house and its history.

Room tip: Nice property for those interested in a B&B experience with knowledge that it does not have all the conviences of a modern hotel

My husband and I recently stayed at 600 Main and were so glad that we made the choice to stay there. We were in town for the weekend and after doing reasearch online realized that we could stay here for not much more than the many lodging options nearer to the seaside/boardwalk area. 600 Main is the perfect place to stay for any trip to the area and was conveniently located for everything we wanted to do. The service was extraordinary and Vicki went out of her way to make sure our experience was pleasant. The house is just stunning, and breakfast in the morning was beautiful and tasty with scones, quiche, eggs, sausage, fruit, etc.. Such a great experience!

We held my daughter’s baby shower at 600 Main this afternoon, and it was a lovely affair. Vicki the innkeeper is so helpful and kind, and she and everyone there made sure we were well taken care of. The tea selection was delicious, and the assortment of finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream, and desserts was fabulous. It’s the perfect place for a delightful tea party for a couple, a few, or a crowd! Highly recommend!

We were greeted by Vicki with open arms at 10PM as or flight arrived late. She delighted us with a tour and history of the house to include details of the original owner. Mornings were filled with lite music throughout the house, breakfast included fresh juices, fruit, parfait's, french toast, homemade lemon curd, an assortment of fresh made vegetable salads and a variety of teas and coffee served in an elegant Victorian style fashion.
Each of the bedrooms has its own specific history,Vicki will gladly provide all the details. The rooms have a sitting area with a view of main street.
We were treated with such grace, even after a long day out we came back to the BNB to find wine and treats waiting for us. The attention to detail was very much appreciated.
We are looking forward to coming back to stay and see our new friend Vicki.

Room tip: If you can select the large suite, its a great room

My friend and I try to meet for tea several times each year. We had been to 600 Main for tea a few years ago and wanted to try it again. We were happy to remember that the previous time our tea was wonderful and this time it was just as good. The house is wonderfully decorated in Victorian style and is so welcoming! the tea offerings themselves were just lovely in presentation as well as taste. Compared to the many other high teas we've had all over the tri state area, this one rates as one of the best. We will definitely return!!
