I would have to agree with the MAJORITY of reviewers and say I can't wait for them to go out of business so something good can go in there. My friend had a groupon. I would think restaurants offer groupon discounts to get new customers. Well, they lost me. First of all, they charged for bread and didn't tell us.I don't know any restaurants in the US which do this. Because the cuisine is somewhat exotic for most unfamiliar with this culture, wouldn't it be nice if the owner was friendly and explained some of the dishes? We were the only customers for over an hour and there was no interaction in this SMALL place. We asked if we could taste the special persian ice cream before ordering, and he said no. What is he--the Persian food nazi? The owner seems absolutely bent on getting rid of customers. My friend's "stew" was inedible--and I'm not a picky eater. At the end, the owner insulted us by putting a 20% gratuity automatically on the bill--there were only TWO of us. We would have given that to the waitress anyway, but considering most restaurants would NEVER do this, I found it insulting and just another way to force customers to pay. I cannot believe this place stays in business. However, we did notice the owner was VERY friendly with his friends who came after us. Guess we were just not that special. By the way--it is REMARKABLE that there are a huge number of reviewers that have been disgusted by this place and echo my sentiments exactly. I guess some people who like it have iron stomachs and enjoy being treated like dirt. There are other restaurants in Summit which go out of their way to be friendly and have decent food. Let's stick with those.
