Description: The menu includes a “La Frieda” blend specialty burger which is a naturally raised and hormone free graded USDA Choice Prime beef. We have a large selection of tapas appetizers, salads and “Jersey Fresh” locally grown foods including our homemade ketchup which is made from Jersey Fresh tomatoes and is a favorite to our locals. The drink selection is extensive with 20 craft beers on tap from all over the country, great wines by the glass and only fresh ingredients for all cocktails. For the young at heart, we have milkshakes, Boylan’s soda floats and Jersey shore fries. A fantastic Sunday Brunch is served from 11:30 am every Sunday. Available for private and semi-private parties.

Yes, the Hat Tavern is a good place to stop in for a beer and bar snack any day of the week, but if you're looking for a Sunday Brunch spot, give it a try. It's a great price for 2 drinks and a lovely brunch buffet. A selection of salads, an omelet station, pastries, desserts, and I've saved the best for last: the seafood bar. Very fresh shrimp, oysters, and plenty of smoked salmon.

And if you want to watch your favorite team while you eat, that's definitely an option.

Wide selection of beers.. A big bar where you can eat at the bar or a table. Hearty selection.. Great onion soup very good.. the special clam soup was great too. Hummus, meatballs, hotdog, mac & cheese, salads, etc.. good selection and saw locals, elderly women leaving who must have been locals who dine there--thought that was good if the local older crowd eats there. Service was excellent!

I'm excited to hear how much you enjoyed everything, Eric! I'd be happy to pass along your compliments to the kitchen. And yes, you're right about the local crowd — we get a variety of all ages. I hope we can expect to see you in again for a burger and a beer or two!

Ordered a Caesar salad and it came with some kind of vinaigrette. Took them 5 minutes to decide where to seat us and we got there when it was nearly empty. Waited over 45 minutes for food and they came out one at a time. Had to keep getting up to get drink refills from the bar. Gave them several tries and it was always a disaster. Burgers are good, but not worth the hassle.

I'm so disappointed to hear about your visit with us, but thanks for letting me know. From the sounds of it, the team wasn't on their A-game, and for that I apologize. I'll definitely make it a point to discuss this with them. Having to wait that long to receive your food or refills are definitely unacceptable. I'll do my best to make sure this doesn't happen again. We hope that you'll join us again—we're only moving forward!

Cheers,
