“TRY THE RITZ DINER IN LIVINGSTON”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

Best in the area is the Ritz Diner in Livingston, New Jersey.. What makes a great diner for me is when they serve real butter and not whipped butter or that grease they call oleo. Real butter on toast separates the average from the great. The Ritz has it all.

“A trip in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

You just don't see the old fashioned diners like this one anymore. After thirty years of being away, I was thrilled to see it still up and running. Whether you want an old-fashioned breakfast, a typical diner lunch or just a simple cup of coffee, this one is worth the stop. You'll feel like you've either stepped out of time or straight into a film set.

“Traditional Diner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

So you want a bacon sandwich.. a really good bacon sandwich... a big fat good bacon sandwich? And you want to be sitting elbow to elbow with a blue collar worker on one side of you and a company president on the other? Greeks in the kitchen and behind the counter making it all work, mostly in their mother tongue. The prices are reasonable and the food is just good.. real breakfast food..Trans-fats and all. You can't beat it.

“Classic retro”

No frills or portion control, grill in sight of customers, bordering on seedy, which is as it should be.
