“Great shore restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

This restaurant does not take reservations but has a call ahead policy. So, right before we are ready to head out we can call and put our name on the list. A table is always ready and waiting upon our arrival. My favorite appetizer is the fried aged provolone. The provolone is baked in a skillet with tons of garlicky goodness. It's a show stopper. The veal or chicken parmesan are delicious. Both are succulent and well seasoned. Their gravy has a delectable sweet and tangy balance. Just because they are both common entrees doesn't mean every restaurant can do them well. Marabella's attempt is a success.
I've never gotten dessert here. That's what Springers is for next door.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2012

So much hype about this great restaurant we came with great expectations but it was not what we had in mind. We get summer crowds and noise, and don't really mind waiting, but the food is the thing and it was a big disappointment.

“PLEASE someone tell us where to get a decent meal in Stone Harbor!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2012

My wife and I went to Stone Harbor and had a great time enjoying the town and the beautiful beaches. The food scene, however, left us extremely disappointed. We are by no means demanding, but we do expect quality food.
Marabella's: the menu was moderately expensive, but the place got good reviews on TripAdvisor, so we decided to try it. The atmosphere was OK. We were promptly seated next to the window, enjoyed people watching while waiting for our order. We started out with roasted peppers, which to our surprise were served cold and not very flavorful (little did we know, they would turn out to be the best part of our dinner). Chicken soup tasted home-made, however it was just chicken and noodles. Fried scallops and flounder were horrendous, burnt and tasteless. Their special that night was "blackened salmon", which was so over-salted it was essentually inedible (we had to scrape the outer layer of fish - which was all salt - and add lemon to make it edible).
This truly was one of the worst meals of our lives. Too bad - the place's location is great, and the wait staff was friendly. I would love to recommend this restaurant, unfortunately the food was awful. Will not return.
