They offer so many interesting exhibits programs and activities and the volunteers at the touch tank were so knowledgeable and nice.

“Educate Yourself”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

A must. Our coast and shore will benefit if everyone understands what they can do to protect the Wetlands. If you love the shore - learn how you can can protect it. Great interactive exhibits and wonderful for children.

“Worth the Trip”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Wetlands Institute! We learned so much about the Wetlands habitat, the animals and birds there...it was fun! We really enjoyed our guide for the Salt Marsh tour (named Beth) -- she really knew her stuff and was SO enthusiastic. Sweet to the kids! A bonus was she was also the guide doing the aquarium feeding later that afternoon...funny, informative and got us to kiss a horseshoe crab! Unforgettable... Also enjoyed the Creature Feature. The aquarist (if that's the right word?) named Kirby really has a love for the animals in his charge, you can tell! Even the ladies who checked us in were delightful. If you're in Cape May, Stone Harbor or even Ocean City, it is worth the trip!

“Bring the bug spray!”
Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

I was looking forward to seeing the Wetlands Institute, but have to say I was disappointed. The intro film was boring and over 20 years old. Tried to do the nature walk, but an a couple & their out of control children ruined it. The exhibits were ok, and the grounds were beautiful. So all in all if it wasn't for the bugs & annoying family it would have been nice.

“Great Study of the Wetlands and Significance”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

First off, there is nothing to dislike. It's all good! Even the "friendly" octopus on exhibit. Secondly, it's a terrific family excursion. Looking at how the wetlands interact and looking at the food chain is fascinating.
