We needed a hotel close to friends we were visiting in NJ as part of our annual US holiday. We try to stick to the Marriott chain and have not been disappointed so far. This hotel was no different. The room was large and comfortable, with the facility to cook, but as we don't go on holiday to cook, we didn't use these facilities!! However, having a refrigerator is always a plus point.
Breakfast was included, which, although not out of the ordinary, was a great start to the day.
I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel, and will stay here next time we are in the area without any hesitation.

I stay at the Residence Inn in Mt. Olive at least once every two months. The property is extremely clean and well maintained, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The only negative that I can think of is that the water temperature is not always hot enough when taking a shower, but other than that, I always have a top-notch experience at this hotel.

As with most other Residence Inns, this one was very comfortable, and met the needs of a traveling family quite well. Breakfast was fine, rooms were spacious , and had "home-like " amenties. Free internet , as well .
I think you get good value for your $ at Residence Inn, and while it's not 5 star,( and it doesn't try to be), it's a solid, honest experience for what it is.

Arrived at the residence inn at 2 and was able to get an upgraded room immediately. Which was wonderful after a 4 hour drive. Our suite was great. Bedding was very soft and comfy. Dont usually sleep to well in hotel beds, but this was a great rest every evening we were there. The pool and hot tub were a great plus for the kids after a long day of running around and visiting with friends. Didnt use the gym, but looked like there were plenty of machines to chose from. Breakfast was very good. We even got to make our own waffles, which was really fun for us all. All employee's were very cheerful and ready to help with anything you requested. A market next to the office came in handy for snacks too. Had candy, chips, popcorn, icecream, soups, crackers and frozen dinners as well. A little on the expensive side, but for the convenience of it, worth the extra couple bucks. Will defnitely stay here again!

My wife and I recently stayed 4 nights while in NJ to visit family. We found this recently opened facility to be very clean in both the rooms and the public areas. The indoor pool and whirlpool were well kept and clean. The pool water was also comfortably warm. The quality of the hot entrees and cereals of the complementary breakfast was more than adequate. One safety concern - watch your head in the breakfast buffet area as the end of an overhead cabinet on the left side presents a head knocker to someone reaching for a food item on the shelf below. I know because my head was introduced to the sharp end of one of the breakfast area cabinets.
The bed with the new Mariott bedding was very comfortable although one has to ask how many pillows are too many pillows?
One last comment which is the significant negative that resulted in the "almost very good rating" (probably common to Residence Inns due to their wood frame construction) is that you hear the footsteps of anyone occupying the floor above. We were in a 1st floor room. On 2 of the 4 nights there was a "lead foot" person occupying the room in the floor above. Fortunately the sound insulation in the hallways is much better as another room farther down the hall had 2 very large dogs staying in the room and you could definitely hear the dogs barking when in the hallway, but fortunately not in our room.
Inspite of the negatives mentioned above, this hotel appears to be a well managed, good quality property and a reasonably priced bargain since it also includes breakfast (especially true when staying on a weekend special).
