The smells alone are reason enough to visit. Walking in the small store front you are surrounded by a sweetness that takes you back to your first baking memory. Watching the employees dance around the kitchen was fun. Each huge tray carried something more mesmerizing to the front display cases. Scones are awesome. Oh what a treat.

The first time we went in, there were people waiting but it looked a little random like there was no real line. There were quite a few people working there and no one even looked up to say hello or we'll be right with you...we probably would have bought a little something but it was just awkward. The next day we went in for some treats to bring home and the line was a little more defined and the workers a little more friendly.

Outstanding! Homemade taste in ever bite!
A tad expensive, however, every bite reflects the way that they prepared their offerings.

Whenever my husband and I visit Spring Lake we always pick up scones and sometimes other baked goods at the Scone Pony and enjoy them sitting in a pavilion on the boardwalk blissing out on the sea view and breezes. They have decent baguettes, croissants, muffins, cookies and cakes, and if you ever see their cheese straws, don't hesitate to buy them. One of our favorite bakeries anywhere. There's usually a long line but it's worth it. It's a good opportunity to chat with the nice people waiting along with you. The team really hustles to provide efficient service with a smile.

Everything on display at the Scone Pony looks delicious (croissants, brownies, cupcakes, cookies, etc). I had to seriously refrain from ordering 5 different treats. I went with the glazed blueberry/lemon scone and it did not disappoint. Had a light breakfast next door at Tom Bailey's and decided to stop by the Scone Pony on the recommendation of a colleague. Very happy we did. Will be back next time we're in Spring Lake.
