This hotel is conveniently located at the ramps for 287 and the Middlesex Mall. We stayed 4 nights in March 2013 at a very reasonable price compared to the others in the area. This is not a smoke free hotel so be prepared for the smell in the hallways if a non-smoker. Although our room was designated smoke free, we did pick up on the smell. The staff sprayed the room and this issue resolved itself. The breakfast area was small and provided the bare necessities. The coffee machine was excellent as was the waffle maker. Rooms were adequate and comfortable, but the hotel shows its age. I did not see any sprinkler systems but the room did have a smoke alarm. If in the area again, I would definitely stay again.

I made reservations at this hotel due to a power outage at our home. I had reservations for a smoke-free room because I suffer from allergies. At check-in, the clerk verified that it was a smoke-free room, and he mentioned that they were booked up for the night because of the snowstorm.

Well, the sign of Room 126 may read “non-smoking,” but it certainly is not a smoke-free room. The room reeks of smoke! Obviously, when this room was designated as smoke-free, it was never completely stripped down. Management just can’t place a non-smoking sign on a room that was originally a smoking room. I tried running the air conditioner to circulate the air but that just forced more smoke smells out. The odor made me physically ill, and I spent a sleepless night in this dump. I would have preferred to sleep in the car, but the outside temperature was below freezing.

The room itself was rundown and dirty, and the furniture looked like beat-up flea markets finds. The bathroom was tiny, dirty and the commode was a foot away from the wall. We did not shower in this bathroom because it was so dirty. The breakfast area was so dirty that we passed on morning coffee. Being Best Western Gold Crown Club members, I am stunned at the condition of this hotel, and I am shocked that Best Western International would let this hotel bear its name.

At check-out, I told the front desk clerk about all our concerns. She said that she would alert housekeeping that a prior guest must have smoked in the room. Believe me, this room was not in its condition from one prior guest. It was from years of smoking and neglect. Then, I asked to speak with the General Manager, and I was told she was unavailable. I left my name and number for her to contact me. She never did.

Monika, the General Manager is very unresponsive. She did not want to speak with me directly and basically sent me a form letter with a $50 Best Western travel card. This in no way made up for the miserable night spent at this hotel. At the very least, it should have been a full refund or a $100 travel card. It took emails, a mailed letter and several phone calls before I was able to track her down. She stated that if it was up to her, she would refund my money; but that she needed to talk with Corporate, and she would get back to me. Again, she never did.

When I contacted Best Western International, I was told that they are not “directly involved in the day-to-day matter of hotel operations of the members.” This matter was up to the local hotel management – What? They are just pointing fingers at each other. Is this any way to run a business?

Bottom line is this hotel and company are very poorly run, and the hotel is a DUMP! The Hampton Inn also located on New World Way is very nice – stay there instead.

Room Tip: Don't Stay Here!

They always make me laugh with those fancy names such as Garden Executive hotel....it sounds high class but it's not....it's just an average roadside motel with basic rooms!
i paid 90$ on wednsday night and i think its overbit overpriced but room was clean with a comfy bed but with old furnitures and an old thick tv.But i had a pleasant stay overall

its on 2 floors and THERE IS NO ELEVATOR..this hotel is next to a big shopping mall (walmart etc etc) with hundreds of restaurants & stores at walking distance and it shares the parking lot with a holiday inn and a hampton inn.Very nice and clean area around the hotel it looks like its an upper class suburb with nice houses around.

i recommand this place if you need a bed to crash overnight but if you would like something better just spend the extra $ and try the hampton inn next door it looks very nice.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms are better i think they are newer!

I stayed only one night (thankfully) at the Best Western Hotel due to a cancellation in my United Airlines Flight. The hotel is a good 45 mins away from the airport and is surrounded by number of malls and restaurants. However, after 2300 hrs, you can find nothing to eat or drink, except from the hotel's vending machines.

The room I stayed in was decent but there was a dominant stink. The lights in the bathroom didn't work and the furniture looked worn out. There was a sign that mentioned they were renovating the property, but overall the present condition is bad!

The breakfast at the hotel is a selection of several machines that dispense coffee, juice, croissants, etc. Nothing great and not even enough to satisfy your hunger, especially if you chose not to eat the Dunkin Donuts; which is the only option for dinner after 2300 hrs!

Try to skip this property if you can!

Room Tip: I am told the Ground Floor rooms were better.

The room was clean and the AC was cold. I like the make your own waffles at breakfast. Some hard-boiled eggs, english muffins and toast along with cereal and coffee. Yea, it was a carb-heavy breakfast, but still good.

Lots of parking near the entrance.

Lots of restaurants nearby and close to major highways.

Room Tip: No elevator. If you have heavy luggage, you are best asking for a ground floor room.
