Description: Here at Tapastre we serve American small plates in the tapas style. “Tapas” describes not so much a type of food, but a tradition of eating small appetizers accompanied with a favorite wine, beer, or cocktail. Here at Tapastre we provide a casual, lounge-like atmosphere where you can do just that. Our all-day menu offers selections of small plates to please everyone’s taste. When guests dine at Tapastre they are encouraged to order a number of items and share them “family style.” This gives everyone the opportunity to savor and sample a number of different flavors. In addition to our small plates we also offer traditional fare; soup, salad, burgers and sandwiches, to give our guests additional options. Complementing these dishes, we offer a constantly rotating selection of 22 craft brews on tap,an extensive craft bottled selection, a varied wine list and a diverse selection of craft cocktails to choose from!

“One of the best place in Somerville to get a beer or have dinner!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

The food is delicious and it's a great place to get a beer with a few tapas! The tapas are really refined and a bit pricy but they also have great burgers and sandwiches that are really affordable and the hand cut French fries are really worth a try! They have a great selection of beers, some are very original like the banana bread and the service is perfect! Definitely one of the best places of Somerville!

“Craft Beers, Great Food, All you could ask for!”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

Tapastre has become a staple in Somerville dining. It may be a little hard to locate, in the downstairs of a lovely old mansion, but once down there, it becomes a very cool atmosphere and lovely bar area. The craft beers, recently added (on draft) are a great addition and the tapas style menu is superb. Try the lobster roll for lunch or the delicious burger. There really isn't anything on the menu that isn't worth trying and the bartenders and staff are always friendly and will let you sample a beer before committing to a full pint. I try to come here at least a few times a month and hope you will too!

“Great Atmosphere, Small Portions”
Reviewed September 2, 2011

I've been to Tapastre twice in the last year. I hate to say it, but the portions seem to keep getting smaller. When I went a year ago, a friend and I shared three plates, and it was more then enough. This previous time we EACH ordered three plates and were still hungry. The service is great, and the atmosphere is gorgeous! But it was quiet expensive for our group of four. I would probably go back, but only on a very special occasion. The place was very quiet on a Saturday night, hoping they stick around (and bump up their portions!!!)
