“A Fav for food”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

The Bridge is definately in my top two places to eat in Herefordshire. It is amazing! The food is excellent, good quality and fresh. The landlord/lady are excellent and very friendly and the service is brilliant. I will definately be back for more.

“The Best Place in all Respects”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

We love going to The Bridge either on the off chance or when we have booked a meal with friends or family. The food is always first class and we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and great Staff. Glyn and his team always greet us with a warm welcome and accomodate us. We love to sit outside in the summer an watch the world go by (if only we had the time!) Highly reccommended for any occasion at any time of year. Love the Sing along nights too!

“Great Place, Efficient Kitchen”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

We came as a party of seventeen. The food was served promptly, at the same time, and the food was cooked correctly- no mean feat. I had venison, and stipulated that I wanted it medium rare. Medium rare it was and considering people were cooking under pressure, in a small kitchen, for a huge party, that's classy.

“Sunday Lunch....No Sunday Feast !”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

Not being a lover of Sunday Lunch meals as they are always disappointing ..raw veg. stringy meat naff puddings etc. We were visiting friends who said this place had to be tried...and they were right ! ..big time.
A sumptuous plate of Herefordshire Beef with eight ..yes eight veg to go with it.
The veg was varied fresh and very very tasty The beef melted in the mouth and tasted superb...We didn't get to the desert menu ..simply couldn't manage it.
All in all this is the best Sunday Lunch out I've ever had ..and a price that's value.

“Magic Michaelchurch”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

Booked a little 1 nighter at the Bridge Inn, as Ma & Pa were staying nearby, we've eaten there before and knew it was good. Camped in the field next to the pub, fine by us. Had a lush walk along The Cats Back (Black Hill) to Hay Bluff and back for a couple of pints, quick shower (all clean & tidy) & dinner booked for 8.30, with the Olds. The food is fantiastic, 1 ribeye, 1 hake, 1 chicken, 1 salmon, all delicious, plentiful, cooked to perfection. Not really enough room for pud, but we forced a couple down anyway. Great wine....not overpriced, loads of ales etc. Lovely staff that just seemed pleased that we were enjoying ourselves. And they were flat out busy.
Next day had a bit of eggs'n toast with a coffee. Later booked in for what must be one of the best Sunday Lunches in the UK (and we work our way around the South West trying them out).
Slow cooked meat, Pork Belly, Blade of Beef, Rump of Lamb, so much veg you can't eat it all, but also a wicked cheesy/potato croquette, yorkshires to die for and not too much spud, the gravy is like the best pie filling juice you ever had. Again, brilliant. Sadly we then had to leave. The place is a little chaotic, and haphazard, but in a good way. Embrace it, enjoy yourself and don't be too uptight. it's a pub in the middle of nowhere that is always full of happy contented full up faces. Excellent. can't wait for my next trip.
