The Crab Trap is a very busy and noisy local restaurant. We had dinner there at the suggestion of the hotel staff. It was a very good choice. The food and service were excellent. If you go, ask for a table in the back, as it is much quieter and more relaxing.

“Just don't see the attraction here....”

7pm arrival wait 1 hour. Can't wait at bar unless u pounce on someone getting up. Took 1 hour to get our meal. 2 hours from arrival to dinner. Ehhh. Crowded. I think people flock here because they love ocean city & can have a drink w dinner. The food is fine but not fantastic. Waitstaff is very busy, averagely attentive. Nothing special. Every few years we try again, but I think we're done.

“Best Seafood Spot Ever!”

I frequent the Crab Trap often, and have never been dissapointed. Efficient staff, great food, nice outdoor bayview bar. The waits can be long on a weekend or summer night, but it is well worth it every time!

“One of my favorite places!”

Crab Trap is our family go to for all of our family celebrations. Birthdays, anniversary, communion, we done them all here. Food is always delicious - favorites are crab au gratin and the treasure chest, yummo! Fun deck out back on the bay at Crabby Jacks for a light meal, cocktails and music. Crab Trap definitely will not disappoint.

“Average food and service”

This was out third trip to the Crab Trap. The first time we really enjoyed the food, the second time it was just ok and we decided to give it one more try. We arrived very early ( around 5) to avoid the inevitable long wait. We still had to wait 15 minutes but this is a reasonable amount of time compared to the hour or so we have waited in the past. We had the firecracker shrimp for appetizer. We enjoyed it but the portion was small for the price. My husband got the steak and cake for dinner and I got the crab cake dinner. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly med-rare. The crab cakes were pretty good. I personally prefer crab cakes that are more crab than breading. These crab cakes are covered in breadcrumbs. The baked potatoes looked like they were made a day before and reheated in a microwave. The asparagus were droopy and not seasoned. The garnish and menu are dated. The prices were ok. Overall, we had a good enough experience. I'm sure there are many others options in the area with a fresher menu and more interesting options. Our money is better spent elsewhere.
