Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. Our restaurant is located inside The Mall at Short Hills on the lower level. You may choose to beach yourself in our dining room or at our bar. Either way, we’ll think you walk on water - be sure to see our aquarium of koi fish built into the floor. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

After wandering around the Short Hills Mall its nice to know that you can still get some quality seafood without driving to the Jersey Shore. They have a nice selection of fish at reasonable prices and they give you a bottomless soda, the wine is good, service is excellent. The acoustics could be a lot better. This place seems to have become the place to take your kids after dragging them all over the mall for several hours. The crying and screaming can become deafening at times, so you will need to try to ignore the tired parents and their irritable, restless, crying children. Once you have tuned them out you can still salvage a good meal, and possibly have some conversation with your significant other.

This is a good place to eat in the Short hills Mall even if you have no shopping to do. Food is pretty good and consistant, wait staff is alert and helpful. Ussually a wait after 5:30 but they will txt your cell phone while you shop.

A surprisingly comfortable place to hideaway, in of all places, Short Hills Mall. The food was great, pecan crusted maui. The vegetables were superb. The martini, heavenly. Service was great. The place was with a Morton's caliber obviously with seafood rather than meat. Give this place a chance. Fish is certainly healthier than meat and the place deserves your fair chance. I just didn't expect to find such a nice place in a shopping mall, though, I have been to Morton's in shopping malls.

The atmosphere is fabulous. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The waiter was very knowledgeable.

The rolls were warm and the Sangria was to die for. The lettuce wrap appetizer was scrumptious and the Marinated grill chicken was great.

I can't wait to go back.

We decided to have this" unplanned " lunch at this place. We stopped by couple of times before and the food was reasonably good-a bit greasy with the fries and seafood platers .
When we walked in around 2pm we were asked if we had reservations. We did not, but the place was almost empty. This time we stayed away from the fried food. We were served promptly -my salad and crab roll were very good.
