This hotel lies right on the New Jersey Bus Line #320 line (direct to the NY Port Authority). At $7.90 for a round trip to the city this area (Harmon Meadow) is a perfect launch point for the NYC trip without the NYC parking, cost, and hassles.
I have stayed at this hotel as well as the newer Holiday Inn Express, the Hampton, and the Hyatt numerous times. The area is perfect but the Harmon hotels all have their own pluses and minuses.
This hotel is still a good value for the money ($175 to $200 plus/night) for a family with kids. Considering you get a suite, with two separate rooms, a full breakfast, a happy hour, pool, and a clean facility. They aim to please here but you may see hoards of running kids. You may see larger families sharing these suites and having reunions.
For a family, this is the perfect spot. BUT For those wanting to see less kids/children/noise don't stay here. A better couples/younger property is the Holiday Inn Express. Which has a cooler flavor: valet or self parking, very modern and upscale furnishings, a beautiful bar, interesting dining options, and an adult feel.
