“Nice ambiance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

The service was a little slow and the food was okay. I had a fish sandwich with the catch of the day that tasted nice. I just found the size of bred was little too big. My girlfriend had a Po-boy sandwich with the same complain as me. We really liked the bar ambiance. The prices were reasonable.

“They're Back!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Stopped in after a day at the beach for crabs and $2 drafts. The restaurant was severely damaged during hurricane Sandy and has undergone restoration. They kept the best of the old and upgraded most of the place. Still has the "his and hers" bathroom in the corner.

Now about the food! Had the crab entree served with Old Bay seasoning. Nine crabs, corn and potatoes for $21 with the aforementioned drafts. Crabs were absolutely "succulent". Service was good and no waiting at 5 PM on a Thursday, that's unusual! If you like crabs and other seafood in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place.

“Not Paying Attention”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

Stopped by for a cold beer and some bar food after a hot day on the beach. When I first sat down it took a few minutes to get service as the bartender was very interested in her cell phone and didn't notice me. After she was done with her phone she just kind of walked around not noticing that I was there. She was joined by 3 other ladies servicing the bar area but all seemed way to caught up in their own conversations and cell phones. Guy who looked like he might be the owner didn't notice how distracted his servers were as he was tending to various beer taps that were acting up sending out foam and spitting all over his arms as he attempted to pour. Ordered a Sam Adams Lager and the beer was very cold and fresh tasting, Might have been the best draft beer I ever had outside of a few brew pubs. I ordered from the "Happy Hour" menu and had the buffalo wings and the fried calamari. The calamari wasn't bad. A bit on the rubbery side but it had a nice chew. The wings were not seasoned nor was there any hint of buffalo sauce on them at all. They were just plain old fried wings served with a bland blue cheese dressing. When I was leaving I noticed they only charged me for one of the two Sam's I had. So I guess there is a positive side to servers being too distracted by cell phones and yapping with each other after all.

“Fools Gold!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

Nothing has changed. It's a biker bar. Not friendly- service horrible. McDonald's has better food and service. Sorry mr bum, but your changes are not working. I have been a Nj resident near Sea Bright for 42 yrs and this joint is for the local fisherman. Family of five and never going back. Good luck.
