“The Beach”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

The beach is just amazing here, it's clean with nice waves, just big enough to have fun in the water, Lifeguards are present from 9-5pm. The sand is very clean. Considering they got hit by Sandy most of the boardwalk shops are opened.

“Great Food and attractions terrible parking”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We wanted to come support the Jersey shore and even with a ways to get back to where it was before the storm the boardwalk is fun for the little ones and the food cant be beat. However the parking meters only take quarters which is bad for travelers and good for the police. Why they cant have a machine close by so you can buy parking via a credit card in this day and age is ridiculous. If you only have a few quarters you get ten minutes a quarter and then by the time you get back to the meter with more you have a hefty $45 ticket. Its also weird to pay to get on a beach. I understand paying to park but to pay $7 a head to be on a beach is just weird. If you dont need to boardwalk go to Island State Park a couple of miles away and just pay by the car and dont worry about parking tickets or paying to use bathrooms or showers. From now on we plan to just go the the Maryland beaches where we dont pay per head. It might be accepted in NJ but its just abusive and makes it hard no doubt on families on a budget to go to the beach.

Hi Donise,
Thank you for your review. The parking and beach fees are through the town and are not associated with Casino Pier. We cannot control those fees. However, there are parking kiosks that do accept credit cards and cash.

“Hurricane Sandy took a toll on Seaside Heights.”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

First I will say it is truly amazing how much progress they have made since Hurricane Sandy but there is still so much to do. The new boardwalk looks great and give the boardwalk area a nicer feel. The amusement piers are both still severely damaged from the hurricane, one pier seemed to be under construction but the other there appears to be no activity. It is also amazing to drive a few miles north and see the amount of damage there still is; home literally picked up and moved off of their foundation, tons of construction debris. Again a lot of houses have been or are in the process of being fixed but you will come along these pockets of houses that are still untouched since the hurricane. Hopefully by next summer the piers will be rebuilt and it will once again look like Seaside Heights.

Hi John,
thank you for your review. Yes, we suffered extreme devastation from Hurricane Sandy. But we have rebuilt and were up and running since May. We hope to have our upper pier finished next Summer and we will be back to what everyone used to remember!
Hope to see you again soon.
