“Lunch at the Parker House”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Parker House is always busy! The servers are friendly and keep up with the customers' needs but there can be a long wait for a table. The food is good, but not extraordinary.

“This Is Summer Dining At Its Best”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Probably the best lobster special at the Jersey shore. Sitting on the porch and eating lobster was a real end of summer treat tonight. The service is excellent. We also had a delicious spinach salad. Our friends had the lobster bisque and thought it was great. What a great way to end the summer.
I think you do have to be prepared to wait but we didn't have to wait at 6:30 tonight. Remember to try the Parker House next summer!

“Back porch”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

Be prepared to wait during the summer, no reservation! Better bet is the back porch, $2 hamburgers, $10 lobster, best shrimp cocktail sauce in all of New Jersey!! Very casual...

“Rude rude staff!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Rude rude rude! I wish I could not even give them 1 star. Everyone in the staff (except maybe the bartender) was very rude - the hostesses and waitresses! Especially the high school going hostesses and old lady with short hair, who manages the place, I think. They all really need a lesson in manners and hospitality if they want people to feel welcomed and come back. Or maybe they're just a RACIST bunch (I'm not white) and do not want non-whites in their restaurant!

and oh yeah, we had similar experiences like the other review about the staff giving them a tough time about the stroller. Basically the staff is totally inconsiderate and NOT kid friendly. So if you're going there with young kids or babies, do yourself a favor and pick another place -- unless you like being yelled and spoken to by a staff that seems to think their job is to give attitude to customers.

“very rude hostess”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

This is my 3rd time there. The food has always been good. The bartenders are very nice and do a great job of trying to serve everyone as they wait for a table. The wait is usually long but still ok. Our waitress was nice but a little short with her patience. but still nice. The atmosphere is very lively. BUT the hostess last night whose name was Moira. Was very rude and confrontational. We had 13 but could only get a table for 10. which was fine because our children who are 21 to 23 yrs old when downstairs to the bar. So as we were eating our children came up for about 3 min to visit. The hostess said they had to step away from the table. If not she would have our whole table leave. This is the last time I will go to this place just because hostess. very bad experience
