“Nice park but not as advertised.”

Ranked #2 of 7 things to do in Ringwood
Attraction details
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Ringwood is a nice park and definitely worth a visit. There is beautiful scenery and some cool old houses and such to roam around. The garden however is a bit over-hyped. It is actually quite small and bland. Perhaps I just visited during a bad time of the year but I was disappointed in the plant life. It's just a whole lot of open grass and green. Not much color.

There was an obnoxious couple who were letting the 10 kids that were with them just run rampant along the landscaping which made several sections of the "gardens" hard to enjoy and impossible to take any decent pictures of. There was a couple taking amusing wedding photos nearby.

This would be a beautiful location for a wedding but I imagine it would be insanely expensive.

Definitely worth a visit. Unless they change things around once in a while, that one visit is more than enough.

The grounds surround the historic Ringwood Manor, home of the Revolutionary War cartographer Robert Erskine whose grave rests on a hillside overlooking a bucolic pond. Hundreds of acres open for a whole range of outdoor activities: running, hiking, biking, picnics, etc.

What a beautiful place to hike, ride bikes, etc. We live in the beauty of all of this. Pack a lunch and bring your own garbage bags please, keep our town clean. Spring is nice but the fall takes the prize. The leaves turn such a vibrant color, it is not to be missed!

I am fortunate enough to have lived in Ringwood my enture life. The state park and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. There are walking trails, hiking trails and mountain biking trails throughout the whole area.

I love this place. That really sums it up. Its close to where I live and has so much to offer. Beautiful trails, views, and I love to hike just before sunset so you can hear all the peepers in the wood singing.
