This was a catered affair. The food was delivered to a mezzanine skyscraper roof terrace in New York City. The Chinese and Japanese fare was really extrordinary. Nothing super fancy, just tremendous rice, salads, egg rolls, dumplings all kinds of chicken and pork dishes and so forth. The Spare Ribs are the best...and I have eaten Spare Ribs in many high and low places. The ingredients, the spices, the cooking and the attention to detail are outstanding. I'm not sure why it is called Baumgart's, but I understand they try for American food in addition to the totally outstanding Asian dishes. I also understand that Woody Allen apparently did not like their chocolate egg cream. But I personally wouldn't think an egg cream at this establishment makes sense, so Woody got what he deserved, I guess.
