Everything is first-class here: decor, service, menu choices, and, of course, the superb food. Plus the gracious chef who visits most tables. Best in Ridgewood and one of the best in NJ.

Not many French places around. This one is worth visiting but you must make a reservation. Very small and intimate. Highly recommend it.

I have traveled all over the country and eaten at many of the top restaurants. Latour's stands up to them all with great service, nice ambiance, and terrifically executed food. My wife and I returned for our second visit to Latours this evening. I had the soufle which was incredible...light, great textures and amazing flavors. My wife had the salad frisee and it had just the right balance of ingredients. My venison entre was perfectly cooked, and the lingon berry sauce was a perfect match to the meat. My wife had the bronzino which was perfectly cooked. Overall an amaizing experience for

Dinner at Latour is an outstanding experience. We were promptly greeted and seated. The room is small but the tables, while close, are not on top of one another. The staff is friendly and efficient. All courses were served promptly and beautifully presented. My escargot, duck confit, and warm chocolate cake were superb. The only reason for not awarding a full five stars is two in the party had the chicken cordon bleu and said it was slightly dry. Overall it was a wonderful dinner. The visit to our table by the chef owner was a very nice touch. The fact that it is a BYO is also noteworthy as you can enjoy a fine meal and save the 50% restaurant markup on wine.

Went to this restaurant with friends. Pay no attention to the decor - very kitchy. Their prix fix menu is $39.95 for 4 courses with lots of choices. Definitely the way to go. The 4 of us has the potato dumplings, fallen cheese souffle, grouper, horseradish crusted salmon, creme brulee, apple strudel, chocolate mousses cake, and cheesecake. The service was very attentive. Also, since this is BYOB that brings the price down alot.

Very enjoyable meal - highly recommend this restaurant.
