From the moment you walk in you are warmly welcomed. Although the restaurant was full, we were seated in a quiet corner. The service was attentive. We chose the Five Course Tasting Menu.
Each course was tastefully presented and quite delicious. Highly recommend that option especially if you want to relish the wide variety of exquisite lay prepared cuisine.

I have been to Village Green Restaurant for lunch as well as dinner. Both times, we were delighted with the food & service. It may be mentioned that both visits were on a weekday. Not sure how the ambiance will be on a busy Friday or Saturday evening. But on a Wednesday evening, it was just perfect.
The place was quiet & serene with just a handful of diners. The lone server, I should have gotten his name, was impeccable in his knowledge, manners and promptness.
The restaurant is a bit pricey for the suburban setting but not for the quality of food. If you plan to have an appetizer & a dessert too, you are much better off with "tasting menu" which is a good deal for $55.
My appetizer of crab napoleon was good but not great. Duck confit ravioli with port wine reduction was very good, even though rather robust in flavor. Cream of asparagus soup was delicious.
Salmon with couscous and asparagus was just perfect. I have never tasted a couscous this good. Garlic & herb crusted leg of lamb was good in taste but , in parts, too chewy.
My wife enjoyed her entree of organic chicken breast fricassee and our son liked scallops & shrimp pasta.
For dessert, banana walnut bread pudding, topped with chocolate & served with a few slices of fresh strawberries on the side and a scoop of maple syrup ice cream was as close to perfection as you can get.
Everything was beautifully presented with consistently impeccable service and personal attention to details.
Highly recommended.

Every time! Food, service, value - the tasting menu is interesting and delicious - the service is impeccable - our favorite place - and because it's BYOB, there is an opportunity to save on wine / drinks -

Wow...such a treat. Small and quaint BYOB in Ridgefield. Easy street parking. Reservations a must! Excellent tasting menu and super service. Each item prepared superbly. Try everything. A little pricey but worth it. They could use heavy drapery/divider between the entrance alcove area and the dining room...a bit cold and drafty, especially in the winter.
