The James Rose Center is the home of Landscape designer and home builder, James Rose, who had a big influence in landscape architecture in the 60's and 70's. The home is rather unusual in design and set up.
He used the local nature that surrounded the site to design the house and that had a big influence in how the home was set and its later condition as the elements invaded it when the builder died in the 90's. It is now being restored.
It is an interesting if you have an interest in a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright and similar style of home building. It is story of a local resident who created his home in his own terms. Not to be missed.More
