Pizzette is, from the street, an unpresupposing place - a nice little storefront restaurant in an everyday strip mall in Ramsey, NJ. but don't let the streetside impression fool you !
Inside you will find a comfortable family atmosphere; not fancy but welcoming with an open kitchen and a view into the wood-fired brick oven, then the good stuff starts.
The menu is not extensive (this isn't a highway diner after all) but it is interesting, authentic and frequently changed so on each visit you may well have a new taste treat awaiting. The portions are generous while avoiding the current fad of a plate that leaves you gasping "I can't eat al of that". The pizza is the closest to those I've tasted from Rome to Venice with a sweet sauce ( no boiling or burning here ) married to high quality fresh cheeses and toppings.
Pizzette is a BYOB restaurant but only 50 feet down the strip mall is Ramsey Liquors stocking a good selection of wines to complement your dinner choice.
Plenty of off-street parking adds convenience and, if you are so inclined, the NJ Transit Main Line "Downtown Ramsey" railroad station is only a 1 minute walk away.
