“Perfect Weekend!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

We were Invited to a wedding that was held at the Nassau Inn and could not have been more satisfied with our stay. We were a little skeptical about the rooms when looking at the other reviews but the room we were in was beautiful with a great view of the square and arguably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Everything you need is within walking distance from the inn and every restaurant in the square is fantastic. The entire staff was very courteous and helpful, the front desk even remembered me by name and greeted us every time we walked in, it really made us feel at home. Parking is an additional fee and with all the tax Princeton likes to add it did come out to quite a bit so my only suggestion would be not to bring a car (you really don't need it anyway.)

A nice, comfortable hotel in the heart of Princeton, this hotel is your only option if you want to stay close to restaurants and shopping. I stayed in a room that was spacious and had double queen beds. It was quiet and comfortable. Staff were friendly and comfortable.

This inn is so comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. We had a little issue in our room which was nothing that they could have controlled but they moved us to a suite that was gorgeous for the same nightly fee. This inn reminds us of our favorite inn in VT. We would come back in a heartbeat and will recommend it to friends!

Dear cgryan,
As soon as we read that our Inn reminded you of your favorite VT inn, our Front Desk staff immediately recalled the pleasant interactions we had with you. It was a pleasure to meet you both and we appreciate that you thought to share the positive experience. Our staff truly enjoyed your company and we hope you enjoyed Vermont as much as Princeton and Nassau Inn! Please feel free to call me prior to your next visit to Princeton so we can arrange your reservation for you once again. I can be reached at (609) 921-7500.

This hotel is in an old building and therefore has some layout quirks. The interior public and private spaces are all a bit dark. This hotel could use some updates, but it was quite comfortable and I was able to get a decent night's sleep with no noise from the hallway or adjacent rooms. Also, the HVAC unit didn't have one of those annoyingly jarring compressors that kicks on and off constantly. Water pressure was pretty low in the shower, but not bad. The staff was courteous and helpful enough. Would definitely stay here again.

Dear WWJB,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with regard to your recent stay at the Nassau Inn. The staff greatly appreciates you including them in your kind remarks. While we are an historic hotel we have recently undergone a rejuvenation project that improved such things as the HVAC unit you reference. It is nice to see that this and the many of the other improvements we’ve made are to your liking. We hope that the opportunity presents itself for you to return to the Nassau Inn, it will be our pleasure to have you back.

Stayed three nights at the Nassau Inn for a conference and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is located across from the University and in the middle of some great shopping and restaurant. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean. My only criticism is that there was a little damp smell in my room and the fan was loud.

Room Tip: Although my room in the annex on the fifth floor was comfortable I would not recommend because it ha...

Dear BreeOttawaCanada,
The comfort and cleanliness of the hotel is among those things that we are most proud of and we would like to thank you for taking a moment to mention that they met your satisfaction. Our veteran Housekeeping staff is always grateful for this kind acknowledgement. The Inn’s location simply can not be beat as all of the wonderful food, shopping, coffee shops and history is all within walking distance right outside of our doors. We hope that you were able to enjoy some of Princeton’s offerings during your conference. We would like to look further into the smell you described in your room. At your convenience please call me so we can take immediate action to rectify whatever this may be. I can be reached at (609) 921-7500.

We love the Nassau Inn and now it's even better with the newly refurbished rooms. The place is active, so expect a vibrant buzzing atmosphere. On our last trip we saw 2 brides and wedding parties which made the place even more upbeat & fun.
The staff is there for you 24/7 and the turnover is low so they actually know your name which is like being home.
Thanks again for a fantastic weekend stay & 2 great rooms!

Room Tip: When wedding parties are in the hotel, it pays to stay on floors/areas that are not near the action...

I was booked here for a work conference (held on-site) and was pleasantly surprised with the quaint yet modern room. While the lobby itself seemed dark, the room was bright and open and had two large windows overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was spacious, with updated but period-style brushed bronze fixtures. There were several lamps around the room to give it a well-lit but cozy feel. There was also an in-room coffee maker (which I no longer take for granted after a "luxury" stay in Vegas the previous week).

Housekeeping service was thorough; they even came by in the afternoons to see if more towels were needed. A copy of The Wall Street Journal awaited me every morning as I left my room. All day long there was free coffee and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the WIFI in guest rooms isn't free, although we did have free access on the second floor in our conference room. While the conference room was nothing outstanding, the service staff was very attentive and helpful all day.

Palmer Square, the area adjacent to the hotel, is full of shops and restaurants to explore. Of course, you're also a few steps away from Princeton University too. It's a very walkable area altogether and we certainly felt safe walking around at any time of day or night.
