“Hidden gem”
Reviewed December 15, 2011

This place is definitely a hidden gem of Princeton. I love the lunch combo sets offered, especially beef negimaki. Yummy!!! And best of all, the lunch specials are of great value for the buck!

“Forget you ever read this review, or that this restaurant even existed...”
Reviewed January 26, 2010

I think Tomo's needs to be handled in the same way as "Fight Club" – the first rule is that you DO NOT talk about it! But really, how can you help yourself? After you've indulged yourself in the freshest fish (fatty tuna, mouth-watering eel), delicious starters (pork belly, dancing mushroom, fried lotus), and amusing banter (provided by the one-and-only hostess/server), you'll not only keep coming back, but want to shout how good it all was from the rooftops. Sure the place is small and off of the beaten path, but that's what makes it so special. The food is truly exceptional. After you've had sushi the old-school Kyoto way, you'll never go back to an American california roll again. Ever. So, go out and enjoy, but please.....shhhhhhhhh.
