“A hidden Princeton treasure”

Olives Deli & Bakery

Small take out in the heart of Princeton. Excellent home made dishes with a dash of diversity. There are ample selections for vegetarian and health-minded as well as those who are neither. Even the bread for the sandwiches is wonderful -- and the sandwich offerings are creative. Hot and cold.
There are many hot and cold menu items that include Middle Eastern, Spanish, Greek and North American cuisine items.
Bakery goods are to die for!! There is also fresh fruit, granola and other more healthful --yet delicious items.
Sure to please. Lines move quickly. Service is good. Prices are fair --especially for what you get.

If you can't find something to like here, you just can't eat. Hot prepared items ranging from soups and sides to entrees, big variety of salads, cold deli sandwiches and hot panini's of every stripe imaginable including breakfast sandwiches, many vegetarian-friendly options, large assortment of beverages and a small bakery with cakes, pastry and cookies. Seems a little pricey for carry-out until you appreciate all the fine, fresh quality ingredients. Only downside is that it's carry-out only which is fine on a beautiful day but not so good if you're eating on the run in the dead of winter.

Olive's is a frequent choice for catering events in the area. Their cookies are especially unique and delicious. It's a great place to pick up a picnick lunch and eat somewhere in Pamler's Square or on campus.

If you stand at the front and just listen to the cash register sing you know that Olives is pleasing people time and time again.

I love that some of the specialty sandwiches are pre-made in a glass case so it is a quick stop if you're in a rush or they'll make it your way while you watch if you prefer.

Try the chicken souvlaki wrap if you want something garlicky and delicious.

They have soups, desserts and lots of other things, but haven't moved on from the sandwiches yet.

The place is busy but the servers are working hard and fast behind the counter so it moves right along.

Olives has great selections of sandwiches, and a very friendly staff. We enjoyed getting our lunch there on a couple of times.
