“Delicious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

Love coming here for lunch. Kind people and tasty food. A great venue for a full Indian meal at a reasonable price (dinner's more on a par with other restaurants, but lunch is a tasty bargain). The food is well-spiced, that is, instead of a blast of heat, you'll get mouth-watering flavor. ( I've traveled in India, and eaten at Indian restaurants in NY, SF, and London.) We feel welcome here, parking is easy, and I can run a few errands at the market or drugstore afterward.

“A new favorite Indian restaurant in the area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

We have been to this restaurant 4 times thus far (twice for lunch and twice for dinner) within a month. This is an upscale restaurant in the area. The service is decent. We like the fact that we can sit outside when we go with the family especially with our 17 month old grandson who does not like to be tied to a highchair.

For lunch, there is no buffet style as many Indian restaurants have. The food here is prepared fresh. You get to select one main dish and it also comes with an appetizer, rice and nan bread. You can order the spiciness from 1-10 (medium is about 6)! While the bread on the dry side you can minimize that by telling them in advance to slightly butter or oil it before they bring it. The portions are decent except for the rice (even when ordering for 3-5 people, there is only one dish of rice; but of course you can ask for more.

For dinner, the food is again good but pricier; the portion is same amount as for lunch for the curries; it could have been a little more being that it is dinner and pricier. Although we did not order it, the tandoori portion looks large. The chicken and lamb dishes do not have any bones in them which is very nice. In addition, a nice touch is that the owner comes around and greets every table which is unusual in an Indian restaurant. Many people greet him back by his first name which says to me he has many regular customers.

The staff are nice and professional.

“Neighborhood gem for Indian food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 29, 2012

Cross Culture is a neighborhood gem. My absolute favorite Indian restaurant in Princeton. I easily go there more than once in a week.
Lunch is a steal. For around $10 you get an appetizer, main course of choice and that freshly baked Naan bread. At lunchtime the place is packed every day. Dinner is a bit more expensive as expected but again always solid.
Service is always incredibly friendly and efficient. Did I make it clear enough? If you like Indian food this is THE place to go.

“Another great Cross Culture in the Princeton area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2011

Cross Culture has done it again! For years, I have visited their Doylestown, PA location that recently underwent some renovation. Recently, however a colleague of mine mentioned that there is a new Indian restaurant in Princeton (where I work) and took me there. What a surprise? It was Cross Culture and I made sure I ask the owner whether they were the same people who owned the restaurant at Doylestown. Sure enough, it is the same owner and they also said that they have restaurants in Lambertville and Haddonfield.

The Princeton location has an excellent decor and the best part is their lunch menu. Instead of the usual stale buffet, they serve you an apetizer and let you select a dish and serve bread. The quantity is adequate and the quality is excellent and prices are very reasonable.
