As we entered the restaurant we were met by a very friendly hostess who guided us to a hibachi table where a family of four were seated. I was impressed by the look and feel of the restaurant. The restaurant was new, very clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted by our server who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the hibachi filet mignon and the hibachi chicken. Our server returned with a bowl of clear soup and salad which were very good. As we were eating our salad the hibachi chef arrived who greeted us and began preparing the dinner. The chef was very social and very skillful. He gave us quite a show while preparing our dinners. The dinner consisted of a shrimp appetizer, rice and noodles which were all very good. Both the chicken and the filet mignon were excellent. For dessert we had the green tea ice cream which was included with the dinner. The prices are the same as other hibachi restaurants in the area, chicken @ $16.95 and filet mignon @ $27.95. Asahi does not have a liquor license so BYOB. They do have soda, ice tea, bottled water, juice and Japanese soda. This was a very enjoyable evening and we will be back again.
