“Great Place but not this week”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Since moving to Point in January we have dined here four times. The pizza is excellent and I have bragged about it to many people. But this week they let me down. I understand things are a little more hectic with all the Tony and Carmela wannabes with their rude kids down for the summer but........ it's pizza and salad hard to mess up. I took a few friends here because I always talk about coal house. We ordered salads first, then 2 individual pizzas and a grilled vegetable salad . Our salads came quickly and they were good, then came the pizzas, but where was the grilled vegetable salad. Five minutes went by no salad, Finally we asked the waitress and she came back and said it would be a few more minutes . Five more minutes and finally the grilled veggies, but by now our pizzas were cold and limp. I will come back again because the pizza is great but just not this week. Side note.... The restaurants should have some rules. Kids are ok but maybe no loud video game? Maybe no loud movies on portable dvd players and maybe patrons should be asked to take their phone calls outside?

“Perfect Pizzette”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

Considering my hubby lists pizza as one of the main food groups, we have tried almost every pizza place from Point Pleasant to Tuckerton! This one is by far our favorite. I really enjoy it because they offer any pizza with whole wheat dough, and they serve pizzettes (8in personal pizzas) so we can each get our favorite toppings. This pizza is so perfectly cooked and as many know, coal fired has the thin crust that often gets burned. Not here. It is a BYOB which is nice, and the owners are fantastic. Call ahead and tell them you are coming because in the summer it is crowded. The one time we had to wait the owner took our bottle of wine in the back and brought us each a glass while it sat on ice. The desserts are just as amazing as the pizza. They have special cupcakes that are just so delicious! They also have frozen cannoli with ice cream and others too. Their antipasto is very good and comes with the large prosciutto stuffed peperoncini (I love those). Their prices are extremely reasonable, like $8 for a pie. Parking can be a pain during season but it's not a big enough issue to stop you from going. They have a private lot that sometimes is full but you can go on the street too. Just writing about it makes me ready to jump in the car and head over there. YUM!
