No atmosphere. Cook thought ham was corned beef. Only thing this place is good for is it's a locals joint.

The menu was limited. I ended up having a burger, which was okay. The waitress was awful. She had an attitude that made us feel as if we were bothering her. The drinks took forever. She never asked if we wanted another and never did bring the requested water to one of us. Of course, we didn't get any water refills either. Two out of five meals were barely satisfactory, the rest, not good at all. It took forever to place an order. She never asked if we wanted anything other than our meal. I actually heard another table complain about her attitude as well. This was the third and last time we will go there. Three strikes and The Idle Hour is out.
Went to Idle Hour with some friends for drinks. Good band playing called Fiasco. My husband went up to the bar to get me a drink and was completely ignored by the bartender. The bar had people, but not that busy. We left after two drinks and went elsewhere for food. Didn't want to inconvenience the bartender for a menu!
The Best Ruben and the price is Right ! Service is always good and parking is no prblem. You won't leave hungry
We went there for a sort of easy dinner because we'd gone a few years back with friends and had forgotten how drab and mundane the Idle Hour is. The place is sort of old looking and very noisy. We asked to sit in a back room because of the noise so we got largely forgotten by the waitress. All we had was burgers and they really aren't much to talk about. I've paid less for better. Doubtful that I'll be back.
