We booked a room because it was "recommended" by an agent from getaroom.com. When we got there and went to our room the smell could not be ignored. It was horrible. Once in the room my wife took off her shoes and the carpet was wet. The manger gave us another room that was suposedly non-smoking, yet it smelled musty and smoky. We finally decided that we could not stay there because it was so bad. Paid a little more, but got a much cleaner room right in AC.

The rooms are fine; clean and roomy, but I agree with the other reviews that they do smell a little damp. The only selling point for me was the gym. However, the equipment is a little tired. In relation to the rooms, if you stay near the 130 rooms then be prepared to hear the constant droans of the dryer.

We got a voucher for Breakfast and when I go there the chef/waitress had a real attitude problem. I was told that if I walk any further then I would be considered as staff. This is not acceptable and it did not come accross as a joke. What the website does not tell you is that breakfast with this voucher consists of porridge, which is like gruel; a doghnut and a bun oh and one cup of coffee. If you want a cooked breakfast then the voucher gets you $2 off; the website does not tell you this - some other customers complained and the response of the waitress/cher was 'this is not my problem, management have decided to do this'.

The pool was closed as was the tennis court and the buisness suite is a joke. the computer did not even turn on when we wanted to print something off. Overall, a poor experience and we will not be coming here again!

I was there with my sister. Only positive note: The girl at the front desk was nice. That's about it. Clearly, most of the people at this hotel live there. There was arguing in the rooms near us, black guys checking us out in the hallways, kids running in the halls and the parking lot--one of them i almost hit when trying to park. The shuttle service they advertise is a joke--so don't plan on staying here and easily getting to the casinos. We checked out within 1 hour of arriving it was that sketchy.

Went for a weekend to stay. Only stayed here because they accepted small dogs. I thought hotel would be ok.. Cheap, no amenities, etc... However, it was way below my standards which arent high. After 3rd room gave up and just dealt with it. Tv's didn't work, smelled bad, renovations, Carbon Monoxide alarm going off, etc.... BAD WEEKEND AT THIS DUMP!! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, after driving 6 hours, we arrived at night checked in and headed to the room. We were overwelmed by a strong mildew funk walking down hallways to room. As we carried all of our luggage to the room, we couldn't get our key card to work in the door, had to get a new card. Entered room and was confronted by a strong mildew smell inside. Tried to circulate the air, went to turn on the air conditioner and the entire front of it fell off to the floor. Looked up at the ceiling and could see stains where something was leaking above. Headed to the ice machine to get some ice, and machine didn't work, had to go upstairs to get ice. Went outside to car and noticed the security camera was haning from the ceiling and also the security key entry had been overided. That made us feel really safe. The next morining we were woken up by maintenance at 7:30am by doors slamming so hard they shook the walls all morning!!! They were scraping wallpaper in next room with the window open, and with our room having a joining door, this caused a draft and a whislting noise. Decided to get out and go somewhere to get away for the morning. We took notice that the hotel looked better at night than during the day, online photos must be several decades old. We got back to the room at 6pm, maintenance was still slamming doors on the entire hallway, in and out, every 5 seconds. Called to front desk to complain and ask for another room. The front desk person was not helpful at all, she blew us off and told us maintenance was finishing up for the day, and they were moving to the second floor the next day. Not what we were asking for. We went out for the evening and came back to the hotel around 12:30am. Stopped by the bar in the hotel, and were offered wine that had been opened a month ago. Come on!!, Went back to the room, and tried to go to sleep. Woke up again 7:30am by doors slamming every 5 seconds again, all morning. I guess if you had really low expectations, this might suit you. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend staying here. this place must have been something in it's day, but It's time this place was demolished.

The Quality Inn Bayside is ok for a nights stay when you want a reasonable rate for Atlantic City on the weekend. The room was clean the hallways were clean. Plenty of towels and the check in was friendly. About 2 miles from the boardwalk. Close to beach and casinos. Outdoor pool was available and was clean.

We were in Atlantic City for a two night stay to attend an extended family/friend's wedding. We stayed at the Quality Hotel in West Atlantic City. My husband and I stayed in a non-smoking room on the second floor and the hotel room was adequate. We found our room to be clean but the hotel was old and run down. The room that my children stayed in there were 4 people in that room ages from 24-27 and their room smelled like urine. The people at the front desk were very sociable and helpful (they were the only delightful part of the stay) but I would not stay at this hotel again. I wasn't looking for anything spectacular as were not staying for an extended period of time. it is true you get what you pay for the hotel was very reasonably priced. If the hotel would do some upgrades they might get more people to stay there.
