“Fantastic Food & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

My wife and I have eaten at many restaurants over our 20 year relationship. This place is easily in our top 5 ever. The night before we went to Jo Jo's, we went to Knife and Fork Inn in Atlantic City. Knife and Fork is fine dining at it's best by their account. We walked out of there with bill for $72 for 2 entrees, water to drink, and no sides. Needless to say, I was still hungry. Last night, we went to Jo Jo's. We stopped by on a whim. When we walked in, we were immediately seated and met by our waitress, Colleen. She welcomed us and served us throughout the night. Early bird specials were being served from 4-6PM. My wife got Prime Rib. I got Chicken Parmagiana. The meal started with mussels in marinara sauce, salad, and fresh baked bread. It continued with our delicious meals and a mixed drink. The portions were large and the quality excellent. We walked out with a bill for less than $40. Needless to say, I tipped extra and complimented the hostess on what a great place it was. We will definitely be back!

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Do not judge this book by the cover. You would never know how nice this place is by the outside. We actually stopped to get pizza. We ordered the lasagna and chicken parm dinners. The portions were huge and the food was extremely good. Doggie bags were a must. The staff is very pleasant and right on top of everything. If you are planning a trip to Atlantic City, NJ, take the five minute drive out to the Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville and pay a visit to this wonderful restaurant. It is well worth the trip!

“Great Inexpensive Quality Italian Cuisine at the Shore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Went on a saturday night and had a 10 minute wait. Great selection with good service. Our party ordered various items, salads , eggplant parmesan, Veal and chicken florentine. Everyone was happy and took home food!

“Inconsistent!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

4 people in our party. Some of the food was delish and the rest was ready for the garbage. Gnocchi great, so was salad and soup. But chicken parm that was pieced together under the cheese - one piece old and burnt and reheated and another piece that was new and cut to match.
A roast pork sandwich like we have never seen -- chopped up and grilled like a cheese steak. Well we think it was pork -- not really sure because it was so burnt and overdone. When I didn't eat the chicken, the waitress' response was "I can't understand it - everyone raves about our chicken parm". You would think they would offer another meal or take it off the bill.
