We have been going to Crown of India for the last twelve or thirteen years; first when we lived in the same township of Plainsboro, and then moving to another location about twenty minutes drive, we still find time to stop by once in a while. Having visited a vast array of Indian restaurants in the Lawrence, Princeton and Plainsboro areas, we can unequivocally state that Crown of India is probably the best choice for the Indian cuisine lovers. Under the new ownership there were numerous positive changes implemented, the interior and the menu improved, but the great amicable service and the high quality of food remained on the same high level. The restaurant offers the best Mulligatawny soup in the area, the best seekh kebab; it is the literally only Indian restaurant in the area that offers hand-made, hand-diced onion chutney; their chicken and lamb specialties are carefully and deliciously prepared. Last but not least important the prices on the more affordable level than Palace of Asia of comparable restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.
