“High quality throughout the years”
Reviewed October 4, 2011

We have been going to Crown of India for the last twelve or thirteen years; first when we lived in the same township of Plainsboro, and then moving to another location about twenty minutes drive, we still find time to stop by once in a while. Having visited a vast array of Indian restaurants in the Lawrence, Princeton and Plainsboro areas, we can unequivocally state that Crown of India is probably the best choice for the Indian cuisine lovers. Under the new ownership there were numerous positive changes implemented, the interior and the menu improved, but the great amicable service and the high quality of food remained on the same high level. The restaurant offers the best Mulligatawny soup in the area, the best seekh kebab; it is the literally only Indian restaurant in the area that offers hand-made, hand-diced onion chutney; their chicken and lamb specialties are carefully and deliciously prepared. Last but not least important the prices on the more affordable level than Palace of Asia of comparable restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.

“consistently delicious!”
Reviewed December 29, 2010

I drive miles out of my way, by 5 other Indian restaurants, to get take out from Crown of India. My family loves it. It is nice to dine there, too, but mostly we do the dinner take out. Seasoning excellent, food not oily... We especially love the chicken tikka masala and the navratan korma. Naan or garlic naan excellent. If you like good Indian food, you will love this place. And the people are good, kind people! I'm on my way there now! :)

Great lunch buffet, and plenty of seating, but not the best Indian food in the area.
