Don't be put off by the fact that this restaurant serves "Indian food". My husband spent many months in India and it isn't anything like the food he had there. Although we've had better on other nights, depending on the chef, the very talented chef has taken a number of Indian dishes and creatively tweaked them. The food here is truly outstanding when compared to other Indian restaurants. We have been here many times because everyone we know loves this place. Try the Table Chat(?) Ask for medium hot. OMG! it's sooo good! We order many dishes and appetizers and share. The fish and shrimp dishes are fresh and delicious. The lamb dishes are also very good. The room is beautiful and intelligently designed to allow lots of light and a view of the treetops, while still blocking the view of the cars in the parking lot. They also have a nice bar, and a good wine and beer list.

The lunch buffet is a good offer and gave me the chance to sample their fare a couple of times.

I have ordered take outs many times for dinner here as it was close to the hotel during my trips to NJ.

Menu a bit on the pricey side, AVOID the fish, I hate the way they make fish fry and curry using the tilapia ... so un-fish like.

The breads were good here, the rasmalai too ...

You have to wait till your waiter is finished with his call before asking him anything. Overall, no one was very friendly. Not a lot to choose from on the buffet, we've gone to a lot of Indian food restaurants and this was the smallest and most inconvenient buffet...I mean really...to have serving dishes on top of a bar?! When lifting the lids on some...the hinge would not hold it up so you're leaning over the dish pushing the lid completely up so it doesn't come slamming down. This is the very first Indian restaurant that the did not have onion chutney on the buffet?! We had to order this separate for 4.00 and they call it onion relish. When we asked for it the first time the waiter pointed to the other items they had...yes, we see that but we want onion chutney, he didn't even bother to order us any. I looked on the menu and had to order...he acted like they didn't have any or could be bothered. Food was eh...won't bother to go back with so many other places to choose from.

We used to come to this restaurant regularly in the last three of four years, as both my wife and I love Indian cuisine. The food - although not inexpensive - used to be excellent. Rich flavors, delicate Indian cuisine, delivery at the table piping hot, the bread out of the oven and directly to the table.
After a having not gone to the restaurant for about a year, we ventured out to it again last weekend, only to be extremely disappointed. Although the cedor inthe restaurant has improved and more waiting staff added, the food no longer has the same richness that it used to have. Dishes are now just two-dimensional in their flavor. The bread was merely warm, and certainly di not just come out of the oven. There was a clear decline inthe quality of the food. If it was a bit pricey before (but well worth it!), now the food is clearly over-priced. I am certain that there are better Indian food options available.

While I am not an avid fan of Indian cuisine, we could not help but notice the restaurant along route 4, and decided to give it a try. The decor is truly awesome, and the restaurant even has a small but trendy lounge, you can sit and sip cocktails in. The menu has many items to choose from, though much of the choices remain authentic to the cuisine. The food is fresh, extremely flavorful and the value is fair, coming in at a little over $130, for the both of us, including a bottle of wine. A must try, for even those adventurous folk who are not huge fans of Indian Cuisine; A great spot to give it a second chance.
