“Great Stay at Plymouth Inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2011

This was our 2nd stay here. We love the place and Marie, the inn keeper is precious. She is very friendly. She's helpful. Knows everyone's name from the minute you check in. Food is very good although we crave meat at breakfast. That is the only negative. The inn is clean and there is a nice porch to sit on at night. Close to beach and boardwalk. We will be staying here again.

Marie and the Plymouth Inn are synonymous with a great vacation.

Marie was like an able-bodied captain of many ships – from pancakes to parking to plumbing. ..and more. Her shipmates were efficient, swift, kind, sweet, lovely and the place ran like a well-oiled engine. Petite Marie whipped up hearty, healthy breakfasts for smiling guests. Even the youngest grandchildren commented about her kindness and congeniality. “Marie is so nice.” The old-timers thought she was an angel.

We were a family group of 11 and things flowed very smoothly. Two of my six grandchildren entertained us on the well-tuned antique grand piano in the large, hospitable living room, encouraged by Marie. The kitchen and dining rooms were sparkling white, well lit and immaculately clean. We could store things in the guest refrigerator and freezer.

Marie extended us many courtesies beyond what was expected. She ‘made’ the stay perfect for us.

Marie, the hostess with the mostest, does an outstanding job of making you feel at home. She is probably the greatest Irish cook that I have ever met. Her breakfasts were awesome. Probably the best Belgian waffle ever. I recommend this B&B to anyone and everyone.

Room Tip: Try the waffles and pancakes- worth your while.

This was our family's first B&B experience and my wife, three teenagers and I all had a great time. There was a nice breakfast buffet and great hot breakfast as well. The innkeeper , Marie, is a gem. Friendly , funny and committed to making sure that each guest is happy and satisfied. The room sizes can vary and we stayed in 2 differnt family suites. Ground level suites are more spacious and convenient than the upper level rooms. Very close to the boardwalk, beaches and restaurants. We had two related familes also stay at the same time and the Plymouth Inn is perfect for family reunions.
Marie is the best !

Plymouth Inn is a block from the beach in our favorite section of town, near the music pier and the boardwalk, and within walking distance of the best downtown shopping, yet it is very quiet and relaxed. The Inn is always clean and organized, and it is very pretty!! Huge common room with many separate seating areas, games, etc, and a covered porch with comfortable chairs and tables. Bonus: we had a great view of the fireworks! Rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. Kitchen fridge privileges; free beach tags. Extensive continental breakfast buffet (served on china!) plus a hot entree every morning cooked to order in the dining room. The innkeeper, Marie, is very accommodating and friendly, and one of the reasons we keep coming back. She is ready with restaurant and town advice as needed, and she takes care of our cars to make sure her guests always have a free parking space in the driveway or on the street. She keeps the placing happily humming along! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We like Room 2 - private bath, queen bed, roomy for 2 people. Morning sunlight is great if you are a...

Our first time in Ocean City was very nice mostly because we stayed at the "Plymouth Inn" . The rooms were clean, charming and well kept. The hotel is logistically very convenient. Marie - the innkeeper added such a personal touch to everything. She made the most amazing blueberry pancakes - "the best our kids have ever tasted." It was a very comfortable and memorable stay. Highly recommendable!!!

We travel each summer with grandchildren and choose to stay in B & B's because they are more like home for the children. We very much enjoyed staying at The Plymouth Inn in Ocean City, and we absolutely love Marie! She is so warm and loving, and she makes everyone feel welcomed. We stayed here this June 2011 with our grandson, age 12; and we are returning with our 9 yr. old granddaughter in July. Marie is wonderful with the children, and she even gets the "shy ones" to open up and talk! I highly recommend this B&B, with Marie as hostess, to all families!

Room Tip: two bedrooms that open up to each other available.
