We always eat at the Island Grill Seafood and Steak House. It is our favorite place. In ten years I have never had a bad meal...well only once, when we ate outside and a seagull swooped down and stole by baked potato. Don't eat outside

Nice location off the boardwalk away from the crowd and hustle and bustle. Staff very friendly and attentive. The food however was very average, and somewhat expensive. Had the onion ring appetizer which was nothing special which came with a marinara sauce, thought this was a weird combination, but thought maybe this was some sort of specialty, and as it turned out it was a weird combination. Crab cakes were very good, myself and my wife both got the crab cakes and lobster tail, however the lobster tail tasted somewhat different than normal, neither of us was quite sure why? My son had the scallops which weren't bad but not memorable either. Overall a pleasant experience but overpriced for the quality. Nothing sets it apart from the rest.

We ended up here after we were kicked out of The Crab Trap because my Dad was wearing a sleeveless t-shirt (seriously!). Originally this was our first pick but after reading reviews we were reluctant to give it a try, especially given that we were interested in high-end seafood. Man, are we happy we ended up here!

We walked in and if we were willing to eat outside, there was no wait at all (and the wait inside was only 20 minutes). We enjoyed dinner outside on the roped off sidewalk at patio tables with full, large umbrellas. They informed us they'd checked the weather report (a storm was expected) and that we should be fine throughout dinner, which we were. We ordered the crab bisque-great flavor with small pieces of crab, NE clam chowder, which was 'good' per our party. They have a very adventurous menu-in addition to standard/high-end seafood fare and chicken and pasta entrees. It included ostrich, gator, shark bites, etc. We ordered the shark bites and we all loved them. We also ordered clams and they were heavy on the galic, served with tomatoes and fabulous. We had king crab legs ($33 for 1 1/2 lb, which was slightly below average rates). I had the coconut shrimp and it was the best I have ever had-huge shrimp, covered in coconut, and not at all-greasy. The key lime pie was homemade and tart-just the way we like it. Service was fabulous-tons of servers, bussers, and everyone made sure you weren't lacking for anything at any time. We would DEFINETLY go back! It was not pretentious, had a creative menu, AND had fabulous food and service. GO! So glad our money was spent somewhere worth it!

Chose this place because it was clean and off the boards.

Good choices for kids.
Menu is plentiful.
Food quality was good.
Had a burger n fries, could have ate it all if it wasn't for the bowl of lucky charms at the hotel.

Vodka chicken was not up to par, huge bowl of penne with dry tomato sauce and a chicken breast plopped on top.

Will try the place again.

The appetizer salad is a fairly large portion, and it comes on a plate as small as a cocktail coaster. It was impossible to mix the salad dressing at all, on account of the salad would fall off of the plate instantly. I ordered the 'Stuffed Tilapia with Truffle Butter'. Their exact words on the menu: "stuffed with baby spinach and topped with truffle butter." The Tilapia tasted dry, and if any truffle butter was on that fish, there was no evidence. The "stuffed spinach" was actually a bed of spinach placed underneath the piece of tilapia. In no way was it "stuffed". My dad ordered the "Baked Tilapia with Maple Pecan Crust." Once again, a dry piece of fish. The "maple pecan crust" was actually a painfully light glaze of maple syrup. There was nothing about that substance that suggested a crust. When we approached the manager with our qualms, she spurned us, telling us that the truffle butter is a very understated taste, and the maple pecan was not a crust, but a glaze (BUT THEY ADVERTISE IT AS A CRUST). She seemed to take no regard for our concerns. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
