“great location, nice friendly staff, recommend”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

Stayed here over 4th of July weekend. Was a great location - only a block from the boardwalk and beach. Free parking for 1 car per hotel - which is great. We parked our 2nd car a couple blocks away. Wish this hotel and others would give the number of beach tags with the number of people registered, but the staff was friendly and said sometimes people leave beach tags that haven't expired with front desk and offered one to us which covered a 3rd person for a day.

Nice size large room, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this motel to others.

The Forum Motor Inn is a great place for a family weekend in OCNJ. Great location, friendly staff, exceptionally clean and well cared for. You don't go to Ocean City looking for a tall, chain hotel, you go there so you can give your family the same memories you had as a child and the Forum Motor Inn is happy to provide. The pool is great for the kids - AND the adults! I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and about how well the hotel in maintained. I travel frequently for business so I've stayed at my fair share of hotels and the Forum is immaculate. Kudos!

Had a great quick stay at the forum!!! Quick check in... Tight parking.. But close to rooms... Nice pool... Although out until 6pm... Why a there isn't a lifeguard... Rooms were clean... Plenty of towels and ac worked super... Got 2 beach tags and a short walk to beach!!!! Showers and bathrooms in hand to use and close to all!!!!! Place still uses real keys!!!!!!
Very enjoyable even if a few bucks more... And kids loved it too!!!!
Definately would return if only doing a few days!!!!

My husband and I stayed for three nights last week for the first time. The staff at the front desk is very pleasant and helpful. Our room was a King room on the third floor. The woman who booked our stay said this would be private and quiet, and it was. The beds are VERY comfortable. The bathroom is small, but clean and a nice shower pressure. The Motel is very convenient to the beach and and ice cream parlor and breakfast spots. My complaint is that the rooms are dark ( need more lights or brighter light bulbs) and we had some trouble with the internet service. We did get on, but it was slow and bumped me off sometimes. It may be worth paying for an upgraded service and see if the internet works better. I think the fee would be $3.00 per day for upgraded service. The pool was nice . The restaurant below the hotel will bring you food/drinks out to the pool area. Kind of makes it feel like you are at a resort! For the money, this place is very good.

Room Tip: Ask when reserving a room for the best available for your situation. The staff will help you.

The rooms were very clean with a closet and room for luggage. We also asked for a rollaway bed which was provided at no extra fee. There was a cafe attached to the hotel which was very convenient and also provided food to go. Later in the day, I saw they provided poolside service. Our room had a small refrigerator and microwave that was placed on a stand so you had to bend over to reach it. But I was glad to have the refrigerator. The room had two entrances - one to the balcony over the pool and another to an inside corridor. ( I like being able to enter my room from the inside- most OC motels only have an outside entrance) I was surprised that we didn't hear much noise even though we were in the end room by the elevator, ice machine and stairs and a busy street. The motel is centrally located- go one direction for the Asbury Avenue shopping and more importantly only a few blocks from the beach and boardwalk. The Forum provided two beach tags. It was fun to go to the beach and then come back to the hotel and still go swimming in the pool. Although we had a regular room they also had a limited number of suites available which would be better for a stay beyond a weekend. Each room has one parking spot (and a fee for additional cars). I found out there was also parking across the street- it was easier to get in and out of that lot. The front desk was very helpful.

Room Tip: There is an elevator so if you have walking difficulties, you could ask for a room close to the elev...

We've stayed at the Forum several times over the past ten years. The fact that we returned says that we liked it. The staff was friendly and the rooms were neat and clean. The hotel is close to the beach and the downtown area. It does tend to get crowded during the summer, so plan ahead.

We needed a place for 1 night at the beach. I choose this place based solely on the ratings from tripadvisor and price. Ocean City, NJ doesn't have any chain hotels to choose from so its hard to know what you are getting into. The location is within a short (5 minute) walking distance to the beach and boardwalk and there is a little restaurant within the place. The kiddie pool is a great feature for families with smaller children. The grounds and room were VERY clean BUT everything is very narrow. The beds are not comfortable, its outdated in the rooms and bathroom (no room for anything in the bathroom) and its very noisy at night outside of the rooms. I wouldn't stay for an extended time but good for a short visit. Front desk is SUPER nice!!!!!

Room Tip: Maybe try to get a room not facing the pool
