On the morning of our visit the weather was drizzly and overcast, which tends to spell disaster for the merchants on the boardwalk; and as expected, only a few patrons were there when we arrived. Nonetheless, as soon as we entered we were greeted by a friendly staff in such a manner that let us know they were truly appreciative for our patronage. The next pleasant surprise was the decor, simple but elegant - including table cloths covered by a glass top on which our placemats were laid. The servers were courteous, knowedgeable and attentive.
The food was presented in an appetizing manner. For example, our 7-yr-old grandson ordered the pancake platter; it came out in the shape of Mickey Mouse, had 2 blueberries as the eyes, a strawberry for a nose, and a strip of bacon for the (smiling) mouth! Everyone in our party was pleased with the taste of their food. And by arriving before 9:00 am, we were able to take advantage of the early morning special for only $2.99!
I believe that this exemplary service is due, in part, to the active daily participation of its owners, John and Rhonda; and both my wife and I agree that this establishment deserved the five-star ... make that five-circle ... rating we have given them.
[NOTE: as one of my grandsons works here, it was a major consideration for going there, BUT, in no way did that skew this review in their favor; if anything, we were more critical than we might otherwise have been.]
