Claude's Restaurant is a welcome surprise from the same ol' fare in Wildwood! The atomposphere is lovely with hanging lantern on the patio for outdoor dining, there is also indoor seating and a quaint bar. Very much an upscale french bistro atomosphere. The back of the restaurant also has an outdoor bar where smoking is allowed. The service is friendly and attentive, we had 7:30 reservations, the restaurant was full and we were seated right away. The wine selection is decent, some nice rhones and an interesting malbec. The escargot was made with mushrooms and a tomato base, very tender and delicious. The stringbean salad and bisque were just ok. The oysters were frsh and served with a garlic vinagerette. Entrees - we ordered coconut curry shrimp which was cooked very nicely, the shrimp were tender and not overooked. the lobster was cooked perfectly with a nice light sauce. The lamb was excellent- juicy and full of flavor. They also offer a decent kids menu, our nephew loved the chicken fingers. Overall would recommend, a notch above the usual Wildwood fare. Compared to other french restaurants it was average to very good.

Not your average seashore restaurant! If your looking for fried flounder & coleslaw...don't go! This restaurant is one of the finest on the Jersey shore. The ambiance is tasteful...the service is friendly, yet, professional...the kitchen (Chef Claude) turns out flavorful, delicious fare, piping hot and delicately prepared. Good house wines...good mixed drinks...good wine list!
Three goods=one GREAT! The lady in charge is Mary (Claude's wife) and she runs the show with an overdose of TLC. It's a DO NOT MISS!

We went here just my hubby and myself on the reccomendation of a local bartender. Dinner and service were very good. With that we decided to return the following week with our whole family(party of seven). It was just as good! We all enjoyed our meals and tried each others dinners. Service is great. Loved the escargot! Fish tends to be a bit overcooked but ask for it rare and it comes out perfect! We will be back whenever we are in South Jersey!

We have been dinning at Claude's in North Wildwood for over 6 years. A must for us 3-4 times a year. Ten miles and one bridge toll from our house it is well worth it.
Mary, Claude's wife and hostess is always a treat. This is one of the few restaurants we've been to a number of times and never had a bad meal or service. I just hope that if the word gets out we don't have a problem getting reservations!!!
Do yourself a favor and skip the Cape May hassles and try Claude's, you will thank me after.

LAst year we enjoyed a great dinner with 10 friends at Claude's. I wanted to return this year to find out if our first experience was an accident. It was NOT. We had dinner with four friends this year and everything was still great. We were greeted warmly and were given our choice of inside or outside tables. We chose outside. Overhead fans made the temperature comfortable. I had an untraditional escargot as an appetizer and it was very tasty.Others had salads and soups. No one left anything on their plate or in the soup bowls. The entrees likewise were delicious. Two had short ribs and the others had steak, rack of lamb, curried shrimp and Dover Sole. My wife rated the Dover Sole, the best she's ever had. We shared two desserts and nothing was left. We shared two bottles of Cabernet which together cost $50 and was quite enjoyable. It was a very enjoyable dinner. The chef is the owner and the mistress'd is his wife. They run a very tight and well-run restaurant with very good food..
