“Chinese Indian fusion, different and very good.”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We went on Chinese New Year, but it wasn't what we expected. Chinese Mirch is a cuisine that has Indian and Chinese melded, so not a typical Chinese restaurant. There was probably a more Indian flavor, even including mango lassi, but with slightly different flavoring. We tried a lychee drink, which was lovely. We ordered two appetizers, fried momos with vegetable filling, which were excellent, but outdone by the gobi manchurian, crispy, seasoned cauliflower which was amazing. The salt and pepper prawns were cooked in ginger and garlic, and we loved it. The coriander vegetables not so much. The finishing touch was the brownie sizzler, which came on a hot plate, with the fudge sizzling on the plate, and crowning the ice cream. Contrary to what one reviewer said, the attitude was perfectly fine both from our server and from the gentleman who welcomed us to the restaurant.

“Great Indo chinese taste”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

This is an excellent choice if you are looking for Indo Chinese food. They offer lunch boxes which is great too. We tried Gobi manchurian and that was the best I ever had in my life including excellent restaurats I have tried in India.

“Bad Attitude & Wrong Food”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Bad Attitude at Chinese Mirch in North Brunswick, NJ
The Szechuan Bhel has 90% puffed rice (kurmura) and sauce. That’s not what you call bhel, that’s a joke. The “hakka noddles” were spaghetti, which when we reported both, the waitress as well as the owner/manager lady took up bad attitude and insisted that these were hakka noodles. The tried to pull a fast one with an excuse that theirs was a franchise. We asked her what can she do to fix it, like changing the dish etc. The owner/manager lady was adamant that these were the noodles and there’s nothing she will do about it. She of course charged us for the wrong item. The vegetable noodles had a few slices of onions and bell pepper. There were no vegetables.
The spicy Szechuan fried rice was more towards bland than spicy, had to add red spicy sauce to make it taste a little bit palatable. Again no vegetables except for tiny pieces of green peas.
It was very clear they did not want or like repeat customers. The lady showed bad attitude and poor customer service.
