“Best indian chinese food in the area”
Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

Ever since it opened in last few months, its been my regular place to go on weekend lunch/dinner with friends & family. I love their drums of heaven, chinese biryani (different from fried rice), gobi manchurian and little spring roll/paneer samosa's. The portion size is not too large, but sufficient for a person.

“Terrible food”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Tried this restaurant a week back during a weekday afternoon rush hour. The service was excellent with the servers keeping track of when your glass is near empty and filling it up with water, and taking away the plates that are over. But same cannot be said about the food. Tried the chilli paneer appetizer and their lunch special. I ordered the Hakka Chilli chicken and my wife the Chicken manchurian. The chilli paneer was fried too much and too much soy - suspect they used ready fried paneer. The entrees were also so so and nothing great.

My two stars are only for the service. The food is below average.

“Limited Indian, mostly Chinese”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

There is a trend in restaurants in central Jersey to offer Indian , Chinese & Thai food. This is the first of this genre we tried and were disappointed in the limited menu. The food - Chicken Biryani and Sweet & Sour Chicken -- were good, but no Naan, tandori specialities or masa.

Note the dishes, such as the Sweet & Sour Chicken, do not come with rice like every other Chinese, Indian, Thai restaurant I've ever been in, you have to order ala carte. You then get more rice than one person needs. Why not just add a buck onto the menu item price and give a small side of rice like everyone else?

We tried this because of the BOGO offer in the Clipper Magazine. I doubt if we will go back even with BOGO, and before we try another one of these multi-cuisine restaurants we will check out the menu selections & variety first.

In short, if you want Indian, walk across the parking lot to the Indian restaurant.
