After doing a good amount of research on where to go for a weekend getaway we decided to try out Wooden Duck. Reviews were great, pictures were nice but hey, you never know right? Well, it was better than the reviews and pictures :) It was just perfect. The B&B is located in a very relaxing area, surrounded by nature, the owners Karl and Beth who are great to talk to and are there to help you get the most out of your vacation.

Our room and the whole place was clean, charming and had everything we needed and more. The country breakfast on both days were awesome too.

Remember to bring a good camera because you will love the birds that visit the bird feeders (including one for hummingbirds) which are right by the pool. While you have your breakfast, it's quite entertaining to watch colorful birds come and go from the over sized windows.

We feel very lucky to have found this gem. We will definitely be back for more!

We stayed here when we were touring the north Jersey wineries. The B&B is perfectly located for these wineries. The main house is beautifully decorated and nestled on beautiful grounds. The owners were helpful with local restaurants/hiking/information. There is a nice hiking trail right off the property.

The rooms are well appointed. We stayed in the Ruddy room. Nothing fancy, just a nice clean room with nice robes and an electric fireplace. The bed is a bit firm for our taste but that's individual preferences. The room overlooks the nice backyard where there are lots of birds and deer. Keep the windows closed if you don't want to be woken up early by the chirping.

The breakfast is very nice. Karl and Beth were very accommodating as we are gluten free. We also had some nice conversation regarding their vast travel experiences. They've covered all 7 continents and countless cities.

We would stay here again.

Everything was lovely. Great, clean room, awesome bath tub! Breakfast was the perfect start to our day and the hosts were friendly and helpful! We hiked the neighboring state park and went for a lovely dinner at a local place (Krave).

My fiancé and I came to the wooden to celebrate his birthday and we loved every minute of it. Not only did we celebrate his birthday but also our engagement as he proposed to me the night before. The grounds are beautiful. Beth and Karl are very sweet and welcoming. We stayed in the Bufflehead room. It was very cozy, bed was very comfortable. Very CLEAN!!!!!! We had our own private entrance and a Jacuzzi in our room. Breakfast was delicious!!! We will definitively recommend the Wooden Duck to our friends and family. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home Beth and Karl.

I booked a room for Valentine's weekend with my husband and we couldn't have been happier. The place is gorgeous, very homey and warm, and beautifully upkept. Our room was very large, and so cute! The hosts are wonderfully friendly, and they really make you feel right at home! And I cannot stress enough how delicious the breakfast was. They make it fresh, right there, and it is just phenomenal. One morning we had this blueberry crumble french toast, and the next it was a southwestern scramble. Plus fresh baked pumpkin bread. They serve you your food and are very attentive to any requests you might have. And there's a bird feeder just outside the breakfast room, so you can watch the birds as you eat. The setting is gorgeous - you're out in the woods near a state park. But you're only a few minutes drive from good restaurants, too.
They really do take every care to make sure you are comfortable and happy. I accidentally left my dress hanging in the closet in the room, and they shipped it back to me! A wonderful relaxing and romantic getaway! Alexa & Mike
