We stayed here for our group tour with the marching band. Our band was in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. They did a great job taking care of our meals with the large group. The staff was always nice and happy to take care of all the band members and family. I understand what they served for breakfast was easy but they could have added a little variety. The kids were tired of the breakfast by the end of the week.

I stayed here after being stranded due to a missed connection at the airport. My travel agent sent me to the DoubleTree for the night and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly, which is a rarity for the New York area. The rooms were exactly what I expected from a DoubleTree hotel - modern furnishings, clean bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Hilton does a very good job of ensuring that every DoubleTree meets an exacting standard, which means that no matter where I am I know what I'm going to get from a DoubleTree.
I should mention that the hotel has a large atrium with a swimming pool in it, which could make things quite noisy for guests with an interior room. My favorite part was that the hot tub was filled with soil and palm trees and has been turned into a giant planter! I hope to never be stranded in Newark again, but if I am I'll stay at the DoubleTree.

They made me feel so welcome- the room was clean, lots of room and the beds are really comfortable. The check in process was quick- they were very attentive and the warm cookies are delicious! I ordered room service which arrived in under 30 minutes- i had the flat bread pizza- not great- but okay.

We drive down to a hotel near Port Liberty when ever we take a cruise to save us the grief of traffic the morning we're to board.

We arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m. and were greeted immediately by a porter to help unload the car. Lio, made sure our bags were taken care of.

The lobby of the hotel is beautiful and spacious. The front desk is in line with the main door, so whenever the main door is opened in the winter, you will get a blast of cold air as you check in.

Rosalito, a trainee, checked us in quickly and was extremely helpful in making sure we were taken care. One of my wife's favorite things about staying at the Double Tree is the cookies. They were delicious.

There is plenty of parking around the hotel and it is in a secure area.

Our room was large and well laid out. We had a view of the atrium with a small balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable, with very comfortable pillows.

The room temperature was easy to control and keep comfortable.

We went down to the bar and met James the bartender. Very nice gentlemen who made us feel like it was our local bar. The beer selection was good and the prices weren't out of line.

We ended up eating dinner at the bar, and the food was very good.

The room was very quiet even though we had the balcony overlooking the atrium.

We will be staying there again.

Not too bad if you're looking to be close to the Newark Airport. The rooms are average, but you do get that cookie....

The bar is nice and the bartenders are generous.

The shuttle runs every 20 minutes to and from the airport, and it's included in the cost of the hotel.

There is no breakfast included, but the Double Tree has a pretty good menu for under $20 a person.

We had layovers two Saturdays in a row and spent the night. Very easy access to the and from the airport. Clean rooms with very comfortable beds. good food and service at the restaurant. The shuttle driver was very friendly and informative. Staff was efficient.

The bathroom is a bit small and dated, but the room was very comfortable overall and has good A/C. I stayed one night due to flight connections, and also found the free shuttle to/from Newark airport was very convenient.
