The ribs are the best and salad bar rocks ! But it needs some designer coffee drinks at the end of the meal to really be a break away restaurant

It's just your typical T.G.I.Friday's. They're located just outside of security check point in Terminal A, at Newark Airport. The service is great at the bar. We've never really sat at an table here. The bar tenders are pleasant, and the service is faster at the bar, but in general the service Is faster here anyway because its never busy. I think its because its before you go through security. Many people wants to be on the other side of security, instead of eating and then trying to get through the strip search, free feels, security checkpoint. Also if it was after the checkpoint, I'm sure it would be busier, especially if flights were delayed, or bad weather.

This was without a doubt the most unprofessional restaurants I've ever been in. The employers were load and vulgar. Screaming to each other about "Great tips" and things that shouldn't be typed, because of it's strong sexual nature. Do NOT go here

T.G.I. Friday's in Terminal A of Newark Airport provides an opportunity to experience the lack-of-service culture that is becoming pervasive in the NY Metro area. If you're a sociologist, this place is for you.

If someone seats you, they'll do so without saying a word to you. This "economy of words" is characteristic of this new service culture. You'll want to hope that there's a menu on your table otherwise you'll need to get up and search the tables around you for menus. Take your time deciding. The waitress will take her time getting to your table. You're not important, so get over it. When she does finally arrive, she'll stand at your table without saying a word. This is your cue to order. When you're done speaking she'll leave. You'll need to be careful of long pauses while ordering for they may be misinterpreted for your having finished.

While you wait for your order. You'll get to stare over dirty tables to watch the cashier reading the paper. Tables aren't his job. Soon it will be break time, and the cashier will put down the paper and take a seat a the back of the restaurant. Meanwhile, people will walk up to the cashier stand and wait there while the cashier watches them from the back of the restaurant. He's on break, so he can't do anything. Finally, a backup cashier will lumber out with a walk that says "I don't have time for you waiting people". Of course, some of those people will have already put back their to-go items and moved on to another vendor. Now that the back up cashier is in place, the cashier on break can put his head down on a table and get some real rest.

At last your food will arrive. Nothing more than you'd expect from a T.G.I. Friday's. When you pay the bill, your waitress will round it up to the nearest dollar amount, even if that means withholding 25 cents from you. When you mention the discrepancy, she'll grudgingly hand you your change. This wasn't a mistake; I hadn't mentioned the difference amount and she didn't take a second look at the check. (No words, except from you, are exchanged during the entire transaction, so don't expect an apology.)

Now it's time to go, but not before making a decision on whether or not to tip. When making that decision you'll want to consider that it's not a good idea to reinforce the behavior of a thief.

You've got to see this place to believe it.
