Best Western Plus Newark Airport West

Looks cheap and a bit dirty outside; and the hallways are a bit creepy...BUT the rooms are huge and clean. Bathrooms are supernice with basic amenities! Nice buffet breakfast. A bit hard to find, even with a GPS, and parking is rather cramp. But overall, nice place. Extremely quiet for a airport hotel.

Stayed here for a night. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. Breakfast was complimentary and okay - like any other best western. The room was nice and quiet and the bathroom was spacious and clean.

The hotel is located at the end of a road that looks like a dumpster. For some reason I could see a lot of limo cars parked alongside the road.. I guess they use the road as a cell-phone parking lot for Newark! The hotel has its own parking lot - a little cramped - and limited slots. I got a spot even though I arrived late.

Hotel staff were okay - not too friendly. The checkout staff in the morning were more friendly than the check-in staff in the evening!

The hotel has free continental breakfast and nice staff. Since I was traveling with young children, the refrigerator and the microwave were the ones that I loved most. It may not be advisable though to have a tour around the area (we drove to find Chinese cuisine). It was scary to even go out of the car.

We stayed there for one night and this hotel is worth money we paid for it. Not far from the Airport, complimentary shuttle, breakfast and WI-FI Internet. It was not very good smell in the room but we handled it.

Was arriving on a late flight to Newark Airport and I needed a hotel room for one night before driving home the next day. This Best Western had reasonably good TripAdvisor reviews, so I went to the hotel website and found an amazingly good deal for AAA members. Booked on-line, no problem. Arrived at the hotel about 11:00 pm, tucked away in an industrial section between the airport and the Meadowlands - lucked out with a parking spot near the entrance - might have been spooky if I needed to park far away. Check in was quick, given a 5th floor room at the end of the hall, with two queen beds, small refrigerator and microwave (didn't use the appliances). Room was clean. Good buffet breakfast the next morning. If I needed a hotel at Newark Airport again I would have no problems staying here.

I spent three nights at the BW Newark Airport - and was quite surprised how well it turned out. The staff was helpful and numerous. All areas of the hotel were clean and odor-free. Best of all, even though the property is situated across from the airport, I never heard a single aircraft noise in my 5th floor room. Even the breakfast was good. The only downside is if you are arriving by car, is getting from U.S. 1-9 northbound to the hotel is tricky - so be sure to call get directions from the desk before you arrive.

We are from Central NY (near Syracuse) but flights are very expensive, so we chose to fly out of Newark most of the time. We found this hotel since we needed to "Park & Fly". When you drive up the street & see the hotel, you might utter an "oh no".....but wait !! The hotel is not pretty or in a pretty area, but it definitely serves it's purpose !

We found the staff to be amazingly friendly. They have remembered us every time we have gone back (about 6 times over the last 2-3 years) and treat us extremely well (including upgrading us to a jacuzzi room once!!). The shuttle driver is equally nice.

The rooms are very basic in decoration but on the large side. The hotel was very quiet even though we were minutes from the airport. Shuttle service was prompt and frequent.

We have recommended this hotel to many of our friends who have had similar experiences when they have stayed there also.

We are flying out of JFK next month and are regretting it already as there are only a very few "park & fly" hotels and they are almost $100 MORE than this one ! We will be back to Newark !!
