Staying in may facilities across the country and International I think this hotel is the best in all my travels!!!!!!!
Why you will ask, Lets start at the beginning. Almost 8 years ago I picked this facility on a whim with no regard except location. Well 8 years later we stay 4 to 8 times a year for both Stay and Fly packages and to spend week vacations in N.Y.C.
#1. The finest customer service you could ask for. This is the most important thing to me. If you are treated well from the start it has to be a great experience.
Brand new re-model.
Rooms are super clean and beyond expectation with full amenities and suites are super affordable and complete with living area. whirlpool and excellent bath.
All come with the ultimate comp breakfast buffet including all breakfast meats, eggs, cereals, pastries and Belgium waffles. Again, Service Service Service is the key and the shuttle service is unbelievable.
To the airport, shopping, downtown, Penn Station to New York it is all covered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay with confidence and leave the worry to the staff and Mesh and Steve are the best!!!

Our stay was on sunday 28th august, the night after Irene. nWe had booked for one night due to an early morning departure from Newark Airport. We appreciate that the hurrricane caused chaos in the area, however, when we phoned from the hotel that we had been staying in Manhattan to confirm our booking for that night, the female DID NOT tell us that the entrance to the hotel was flooded and that we would not be able to get in without the assistance of their shuttlebus. So we found out on arrival in our taxi which could not get through the flooded area and had to leave us on the road. We called reception they said they would send the driver out to us on his return to the hotel. 45 minutes later we called again to be told he would be another 15 mins or so. With the help of other guests, we found our way through a disused industrial site and CLIMBED over a 6 foot wall with our luggage to get in. When we arrived there were 2 other transport buses sitting in their car park, which could have been used to collect us by any member of staff!! NO apologies were forthcoming at all. In the evening the restaurant was closed at 8pm without notifying the guests and we were left with only the option of chocolate and crisps in the machines by reception. This hotel has very, very poor standards and Best Western should investigate it and drop it. The ONLY redeeming factor was that the transfer to the airport the next morning was on time.

Our travel agent booked us here for 3 nights, but due to Hurricane Irene, we were forced to book another 2 nights. The travel agent tried for 3 weeks to get a response from them re; shuttle from the airport, but due to no response we were forced to take a cab at 11.30pm when our flight arrived. The problems started the next day when we discovered that the wireless internet was slower than dial-up and sometimes non-existent. Even the hotel computers (which we spent $30 dollars on over the 5 days we were there) are no better. When we complained the hotel staff, they offered to supply us with their internet providers phone number! We had to get the room keys re-programmed all the time, even after stepping out of the hotel front door for some fresh air. On the Friday before Irene, they ran out of butter at breakfast, so by the following Monday food at breakfast was at premium. The food quaity was very poor. On the Sunday, the restaurant closed at 8pm so we had no dinner that night!
2 staff members had a heated argument in the lobby one day (not in English) in front of a number of guests. The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the room. It was very good and well serviced every day, except the Sunday when staff couldn't get to the hotel. The view from the room was interesting......we were on the 6th floor and our room looked over a wasteland and the railway station. The hotel is in an industrial area and very isolated, so if you don't have your own transport you have to rely on their shuttle.
We would never stay here again and probably not at another Best Western facility.

The Good:
1) Nice looking room
2) Flat Screen TV
3) It's a BW plus so they provide bacon or sausage with breakfast

The not so Good
1) Area is a dump, Abandoned factories everywhere you look. Don't walk out at night.

2) Parking is crazy... no spots after 7pm basically

3) Wireless problems. There seems to be many wireless deadspots in this building. Wireless works in the lobby and restaurant area. Front reception said wireless in rooms weren't working because of the "rain" that day. I laughed that one off.

Why did we stay ? The BW telemarketer said it's a BW Plus so thinking is it's nicer... boy what a mistake.
